I don't recall this track from testing, but it looks like a very interesting layout....

The layout is pretty close the the real track, but the surroundings are way different. The track is only about a year old I believe and this is the only version of it I've been able to find. I really like the layout.
Here is an onboard lap with Greg Murphy last year when the track was just about to open.
And here is the pole lap in a Porsche 911 from the first official race just a few months back.
And finally some footage of the Utes.

I like this track in the videos but in the game the curbs take away from the flow of the track. In the future I'm gonna have to pull out the thumbs down for this one. I see and feel the flow of it in the video and it looks like it would be great but those high curbs in the game just totally changes what the track is all about.

I have to agree that the curbs are brutally high and does take away from the flow of the track. I went in this evening and lowered the curbs a notch or two. I'll send you a PM with the revised track and let me know if it's any better. I don't want to distribute if it really doesn't make any difference. If it does, I may have everyone update it.

***URGENT*** I have updated the track for Wednesday's V8 Supercars race and EVERYONE participating will need to re-download it and install this version over the old one. I would recommend deleting the old version first. The curbs were brutally high and really took away from the flow. I have lowered the curbs to make them a bit more forgiving to try to reflect the feel of the real life track. On a cosmetic note, I deleted a couple of the skyscrapers (this track is located in the mountains of New Zealand and there are no tall buildings around it) and also added mountains to the skyline. I also moved the barrier at the turn one chicane cutoff back a few meters as I could see someone hitting it and destroying their car.

By the way, Dale should have the server updated with the revised track shortly.

Ok, I'll give it a spin. Been busy this week so didn't catch this. I'm already saying thanks because it was just too brutal so without looking it has to be an improvement. lol

Server updated. I'll be in and out today so someone let me know if it's replaced correctly.

Just ran a dozen or so laps on the server and all seems in order. I really like the flow of the track. I think it will suite many drivers as you can get into a pretty good rhythm here, especially with the curbs not quite as menacing. You still need to be careful at the short chicane just before the left hand hairpin. If you take too much outside curb, you will lose it. Try to position the car right down the middle and you should be fine.

Will give it a shot. I was really worried about the curbs at the chicane leading to the hairpin, too.

While the layout is tolerable, the execution is awful. I don't see how it can flow because with what few brake markers there are, they are not even close to being usable because of shoddy positioning. This particular track is an example of why I stopped downloading many new tracks from RFC, even if it's based on a real one.
Even the fuelusage in the AIW is the stock BTB value of 37171. (should be ~14 x Length, not waypoints like i said before). So expect mileage to be way off.
Sorry if I sound like a snob. I don't like tracks that look like they took a few hours to throw together...they usually take hundreds of hours or they shouldn't be released to the public at all. BTB is so much more powerful than this example and it's an embarassment.
Luckily racing V8's with GBR will be more fun than me bitching about the track. If someone here knows intel48, my apologies.
