I have recently reassembled my triple monitor setup now that i have my stand and all gmotor engine games rf1 & gsc 13 iam now encountering 2 issues stuttering and screen tearing/juddering Ive tried multiple things.... updated drivers rolled back drivers to 321 whql checked config files to make sure cpu specs match ingame restored oc on gpu to stock values made sure all cpu drivers are up to date lowered ingame settings from max to high tried the wombat fix but it crashes the games tried game booster to stop any programs from running in the background, enabled/dissabled microsoft security Now if i use vsync adaptive with triple buffering enabled i get the best quality but iam getting screen tearing/juddering under braking and turns. If i remove adaptive vsync i get no tearing but bad stuttering Now the odd thing is if i run the gbr dtm mod or rf2 i have no problems but gsc 13 and the other rf1 mods i do? i have a gtx 670 2gb ingame its only using barely 1000 mb @ 45-50c
the only 2 things i can think of is.... a. 1 monitor is a prior season model with the same specs could be causing the issue but i never had problems before? b. possible cpu overheating? It runs stock and has never been overclocked i7 2600 @ 3.6ghz
figures when i get the itch to race alot and get things setup i encounter issues lol any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Two things that help me with rF1:
1) Add +fullproc to your shortcut properties. So like, "C:\rFactor\rfactor.exe" +fullproc
2a) In NVCP set power usage to Prefer Maximum Performance, rF1 generates high framerates and you don't want the card downclocking
2b) I set my max framerate in the PLR to 150 or so. You don't need 350 frames per second... I find this helps keep the card cool.
Bonus item:
3) Try Max Pre-rendered frames = 1 in NVCP. I can't use that option because I have SLI but for non-SLI I read that tip a lot.
Wombat fix doesn't work and hasn't been needed for a long time. The patch you should do is the 4 GB EXE patch. It won't help this issue but will protect you when running larger fields and/or detailed cars (like Blancpain).

Thnx for the response! Reiza installed the fullproc into there game and I've been using it for all my rf1 mods for a while now. I've tried it with & without. Pre render frames 1 I have always used since the beginning of Pcars development. I'll try locking the frame rates to 150 and see. I forgot to mention iam only having the issues on the centre screen which is the odd version. Could it be due to a slightly higher/lower refresh rate than the other 2 side monitors? Does anyone have a core temp monitor link? I downloaded core temp but iam not certain how to install it the file has 10 different files none say exe. If like to see how my CPU is handling heat. I've been looking at a liquid cooler for a while the stock cooler wasn't that great. As for the monitor iam a tad choked I found a 3rd matching monitor that has since been discontinued a few weeks ago on kijiji and when I got it home I slipped on my sons hotwheel and smacked it against the door frame and now it only fires up for 10 secs than shuts off Currently keeping my eye open for memory expresses annual monitor bundle sales and grab some 27" led monitors

Just the centre monitor? That's weird. Refresh rate can't be different... Nvidia Surround requires all three monitors to be same refresh (and resolution and sync polarity).
Core Temp? I use it on one of my PCs. I don't remember any issue with finding the EXE. There are four files in the install folder (an EXE and three text files).

So I've read a million forum threads to try figuring out my issue, but have now encountered another one Having it all setup and running minus the stuttering/tearing issue. I've now tried a few other suggestions.... Swapped out my corsair dominator ram for the factory....no change Tried a new power cord.....no change Cleaned out my PC with compressed air and made sure all connectors were nice and snug.....asides from running cooler and quiter no change while gaming. Lastley I tried a clean install of the latest nvidia beta driver, everything installed properly but now when I go to setup nvidia surround only 2 monitors register? And can't for the life of me get the PC to pick up the third? Faulty dvi cord? But why show up after a driver update which I've previously had installed and worked? So triple screen setup issue aside, there's only a few possibilities left for the stuttering/tearing 1. CPU overheating 2. Faulty psu 3. Gpu? Any other possibilities?

Try a new DVI chord, only a few dollars so not much lost, if you know the monitor works, and the comp is only seeing two (How about windows by the way? Does that only see two?) That would be my first port of call.

I doubt it is the PSU. The computer would not power up if it were that. I also doubt the CPU is overheating. If it were that, the computer would freeze or give you a BSOD. Rather, I think it is a GPU issue. I vaguely recall getting stuttering with one or more of my 560ti GPUs that were bad.

At first windows only saw the 2 than I clicked on the "monitor not shown" tab clicked the force tv option than it said it showed up as VGA , but it's connected hdmi to dvi? When I returned to nvidia surround it was only reading the 2 still. I'll try a new cord if that's a no go iam gonna take my card in as I have a few months left on the extended warranty. Hopefully it will be defective and they will allow me to pay the difference and upgrade my card. Since I won't be able to do much without a gpu I might have them take a look at my whole system, fix any bugs and remove any unnecessary programs

Two weeks of constant trouble shooting and nothing fixed has finally been solved.....mostly Faulty hdmi/dvi cable was the culprit and only a $20 fix Somewhere along the line 3x27" acer led monitors were also purchased lol been looking at monitors for a while and got one for free and 2 for less than $100 really slim bezels so hopefully that will gain me a few extra fps as my old setup was running at 6060x1080 with bezel correction on 3 x24" dynex LCD TVs Gsc iam still struggling to get it running as smooth as rf1? I've had to turn the graphics down to high afx8 no shadows or aa just to get a solid 60fps with default settings in the nvidia control panel has the game using close to 1700mb of VRAM yet with the same settings in rf1 using multi view the game doesn't even use 500mb ? So not sure what's going on there, iam assuming a memory leak and some optimization is required on there part?

Ha ha, thought it was the HDMI cable, three now monitors huh, nice. :)Mind larger monitors are going to be more greedy of resources, so try dropping your resolution, it is hardly noticeable visually and might smooth out your FPS
