Given the lack of participation in our GBR iRacing events over the last few months, I have postponed the Skip Barber and Corvette GT series until the Fall. At that time, I will gauge interest and will determine if we should resume either or both series. My sense is that GBR iRacing members are getting what they want out of iRacing via other leagues and/or the official series. We also do not have a good time slot for our events.

I know I wasn't much of a participant due to my schedule and family life but tried to jump in when I had the time. I know I sound like a broken record and I apologize I quite enjoy iracing as it keeps getting better with every update but with the majority of road racing cars available for free or base content in other sims it makes it very difficult to keep putting money into a sim I hardly will play and I greatly appreciate the effort and hard work you put into organizing the leagues especially the fact you were paying out of your own pocket to host races. That being said I hate seeing well organized series dwindle in any sim so here's a few possible suggestions..... Maybe you should try returning to your roots and run a series using only base content to keep the cost to min. And hopefully it will attract some new comers since there's always free trials and cheap discounts kicking around . And with the ntm being implemented in a majority of the cars now it's really enhanced the drive ability and experience.
What about trying a different time slot there seems to be a lot more options now. Tues, Thurs opposite the dtm series and fri ?
Anyways thanks again Craig for the work you put in!
Cheers

Dave, thanks for your kind post. No worries about iRacing man, I understand completely why it doesn't work for you and many other folks.
I will look into other time slots, as you suggest. We previously tried an oval series on Thursday nights, but perhaps we can do a road series since there is more interest for that. Friday has historically been very difficult, even for rFactor road events. I also like your idea about focusing more on base content as a way to get more new guys involved. Its another idea we have tried, but perhaps it would work better in a different time slot?
Oh, and don't worry about the cost. I get $10 in iRacing official series participation credits every season and so that covers most of the server cost incurred.
Thanks, Craig
