This is just a quick note of my issues I've had thus far and have had over a week to dwell on it but alas I am leaving iracing.
I will be first to say online racing was really good fun but the more time passed, the more i started to see the ugly side of it.
I joined my first league in iracing racing Touring cars with the BSR league (really good league with fantastic coverage may I add) which exposed a vast number of issues with circuits which rubbed me the wrong way to say the least.
One of the teams were a certain bunch of Radicals (yes those ones on Youtube) who were busted for taking advantage of a track limit glitch at Silverstone where you can cut an entire corner using the concrete run off.
Also was a glitch at Suzuka where 30 seconds is added to your time momentarily while passing the bridge after the 2nd degner curve, meaning having to stop for 30 seconds if you (as I did) jump the curb to avoid an incident and had to serve a slow down.
Now both of these tracks have been on the service for over 3 years now and nothing has been done to rectify this after many requests.
To me this just isn't on for what is advertised.
Next is physics, the Riley Daytona Prototype has been a mainstay in the service for a long time and had been a big hit, but why after NTM5 did it all of a suddenly drop 3 or 4 seconds per lap and (according to most) adopt RUF Track handling at the start of season 2?
A question bodyswearved by most on the forums and one I doubt I'll ever get the answer to.
My biggest irk however is this.
I have waited more than 2 years now since donington and BTCC content was first signed to the service LINK HERE 3/13/2012 and have watched it being thrown to the end of the cue time and time again only to see COTA be signed sealed and delivered in less than 6 months is just something I wont pay to see happening either.
T o me a pattern seems to be emerging where they couldnt care less about fixing serious issues and just want to churn out what will sell the most and it's a business model I will no longer support with or without donington.
