Hey guys I was wondering you can help me out. I'm trying to assign buttons with my CSR wheel and CSr elite pedals but its not letting me. The steering and throttle works but I cant get the clutch and my H shifter to work. I downloaded the latest drivers for the wheel and I'm running rFactor as an admin, but no luck with mapping. Everytime I click on the clutch I keep getting a message saying so and so button is already in use.

If it says it's already in use, just hit enter and it will overwrite it.

Boza, while you're setting things up, there are 3 very important functions which you need to have mapped to easily accessible buttons on your wheel.
1. The push-to-talk button for teamspeak so you can communicate easily while on the track.
2. Request pits, you need to hit this before you make a pit stop so your pit crew is ready. Usually 1/2 to 3/4 lap before pit depending on length of track. If you pit without it, it will add time to your stop. Not sure how much, but probably 5-10 seconds.
3. Speed limiter. Use this when entering and driving in the pits so you don't get a speeding penalty. Remember that this does not instantly reduce your speed, you need to make sure you are under the limit before you enter pit road. Wait until you are sure you have cleared the pits before turning it off. It is a toggle function, so the same button turns it on and off.

Ditto, I mapped three of the four buttons on the right side of my CSR Elite and CSR wheels for these three functions. You also should consider going push to talk. Before I did push to talk, I was distracting other guys because my kids routinely come in and talk and yell while I am racing. I finally switched to push to talk and got rid of that problem.

Thanks for the help guys. When I was setting up teamspeak I selected voice activation to talk instead of using a hotkey. My question is do I need to change that or leave it be if I'm mapping button for PTT??

My question is do I need to change that or leave it be if I'm mapping button for PTT?? I think it depends on how much noise you think you will make that will possibly distract others. Because my kids are still awake when I race on Wednesday nights, my mic was picking up lots of their noise and thus I was distracting other guys. I changed to push to talk to avoid that problem. Some guys breath hard and so we occasionally hear that. Some guys abuse their wheels and we can hear that.

My experience has been that on voice activation, every time you cross the start/finish line, your mic will activate when the announcer bellows out your lap time. I would strongly suggest using a PTT hotkey.
Cheers!

I went ahead and mapped it to the B button because I think I'm one of those heavy breathers...lol

I have a USB foot switch on order. Since I use my right foot for gas and brake, I will be using my left foot for push-to-talk.

I'm going make a glove with micro switches in each finger. Guess which finger I will be holding up when talking to you guys.
