Cool! Great track to learn and drive but don't really care for it when it comes to racing as it hardly leads to close pack racing due to the length and missle tunes, but I do love the gp version Really enjoying all there euro track licenses being announced hopefully they can land an audi license and some more beepers!

Interesting as iR couldn't deliver Long Beach reportedly due to detail and this is a much larger track.

This is great news. I doubt we will see the Nordschleife in official races except for maybe the Road Warrior series. But it will be an awesome track to hotlap and run some hosted sessions. I really thought they would never get it. I figured they would get the GP track, but not the Nordschleife. I was pleasantly surprised when I read about it.

Maybe a version of the Ring Kelly can actually run more than 2/3 of a lap with others!

I lurk. I hate my Logitech Wheel so have been saving for a new wheel. In the meantime I've been doing some great driving holidays in my bimmer. Speaking of the Ring, there are plans in motion for me to cross that little one off my bucket list for real. I'll provide GoPro footage when it happens!

BMW offers European Delivery at the BMW Welt for new BMW purchases. In addition to all the stuff that goes on with that, they supply tourist plates and 14 days of Insurance and Registration. I plan on taking advantage of that and hitting the Ring (might be able to do it in conjunction with a BMW sponsored track day there) and then doing Stelvio pass and spending a few days in Italy.
All depends on timing etc but I absolutely want to hit the ring for sure (provided its still up and running in a year) and anything else is pure gravy.

135M? One of those would be sick. Edit: I just noticed they axed the "1-series", and re-labed them as the 2-series (w/ no M version available). But I could see Kelly rolling a 335ix.

On the virtual front: Despite my better judgement I'm eyeing Fanatec but haven't made any final decision. I figure I'll budget 2K solid and I should be good to cover pretty much anything that surfaces to the top of the heap. On the real steering wheel front I am going with an Individualized 335 with M Performance Parts installed. I'm throwing on a set of dedicated winter tires for this winter on my 323i to see how the rwd handles the snow. If I like things overall then I'll stick with a 335i, if it proves too sketchy then I'll spring for the 335ix. A dealership in LA built pretty much the exact car I wanted to build so I contacted them and they sent me the build sheet with all the required codes so I could take it to my dealer here. I've priced everything out and it all works either way so its just a matter of seeing how winter goes. Here is a pic and you may need sunglasses. I am getting this color which is called BMW Fire Orange. Very rare color as it tacks on a hefty surcharge to the vehicle to have it painted this color but I love it and it will stand out among all the black, white and grey 3 series cars here. (Open the pic up in a new window for full size... its slick!!) Even after I get the car (regardless which version) there will be some work to be done. The roof I'll be getting painted BMW Jet Black, swapping out for a set of M6 series wheels (black), an Akropovic exhaust (designed for the new M3/M4 but will work on the 335 as well), and HEAPS of carbon. I still have to save up some cash and such but come spring it will be ordering time!

^ Wow, very nice. I hope to do an Euro Delivery on an Audi one day. Gotta get on top of some house debt first though.
