I took part in a 100 minute enduro event at Bathurst w/ the V8 Supercar. I didn't have high expectations going in as the track is brutal...nevermind with this particular car. Not sure where the pace came from, as I'm usually mid to back pack. But somehow I managed to put together a lap a quick enough lap for 3rd on the grid. Got a good launch (relative) and went to the lead at T1 on the first lap. Persevered through a single car wreck while in the lead (dropped to 8th or 9th place) to dig my way back up to 3rd at the finish. 2014 NW Majors - Bathurst 100

"Christopher Sherburn is a man on mission!!" Nice job man!! To survive 90 mins on that track with that car let alone get a podium that's impressive bro. That was hell of a start you had, I bet the pole sitter was shock to see you blow by him like that...lol. The announcers was gushing over you towards the end of race, good job

Yeah.....
Started monkeying w/ a paint, but with the new car coming out in a couple weeks...not worth my time & aggravation. I'll probably try again when the Holden is released. I probably need to hit up Stinky for the GBR logo one of these days.

Well done, Chris!
Also, there's a paint that Snappy did. I've been racing it in V8SC Americas. You may be able to find it under my name at Trading Paints. Otherwise, I can send it to you.

I've got it...just wasn't really feeling the orange. Plus the fact you were running it already. Probably going to try to come up with something using green, white & black. We'll see. Got a couple weeks before I really need to worry about it anyways.

Cool. If you get lazy and want me to change the colours on Snappy's skin just LMK. I think I have a Photoshop version of his file I'm going to convert my old black Samsung/Chelsea FC livery from rF1 for the final iRacing V8 season.

Thanks. I think I also had the benefit of being the only one to have run the car w/ any regularity (albeit only about a month) prior to the race. But something clicked in place that night...just hope I can do it again Wednesday and get lucky w/ a top 5 in rF2.

Nice job Chris. My experience with the iRacing V8SC is extremely limited. I did one lap in a practice session to get the world traveler award on iRacing for driving every car and driving on every track in an official race, practice, hosted session or time trial. I'm hoping the Holden is a little bit more sane to drive.

Should be a little bit, but the car will likely still have the tough turn in as even the new car uses a spool type differential. And it's still a lot of power through relatively narrow tires, so getting the power down will still be tricky as there is still no ABS, TCS, or ASC. But with the IRS, it should ride over curbs and track irregularities a bit better (not that I had a huge issue blasting over curbs at Bathurst ).
