The inaugural season of the GBR Blancpain Championship is in the books! I personally want to thank those who participated and made this a successful season. We may not have held onto all drivers but the ones that stuck it out made it truly special.
The final standings could be found HERE.
Of course, Season 1 was dominated by Brazilian Angelo dos Santos. He showed alien speed week in and week out with 12 wins, 13 poles, and ten fastest-laps. The Brazilian would not stand any lower than the second step for the duration of the season.
Second place finisher Jeff Hooper would give him a run many weeks but they still finished 153 points away, mainly due to some unfortunate events affecting Hooper. Hooper would net four wins and seven fastest-laps. Missing the first race of the season certainly affected the distance between these two tough competitors.
Third place finisher, Tony Harper, would finish another 152 points adrift of second. Harper would show some pace at certain tracks, including netting a win at COTA.
Dale Green and Jason Hawks would round out the top five, with Green only the fourth driver to net a win.

Highest Climber Award - Chris Sherburn - 8
