Time trial

Hey guys does anyone know how the time trial scoring is done?
I did a time trial the other night @ brands hatch which I had a one off on my out lap than completed 6 clean laps which only 4 laps were needed to complete the trial when I exited I recieved -107 irating and +2 for my license any idea why I got dinged so bad? Usually it's give or take around 5 points.

The TTrating is based on your time during the "sequence". An off invalidates the entire sequence. Which lap did you have your off? If you completed 3 clean, had your off, then had another 3 clean, you didn't meet the criteria of four clean laps in a row.

You got -107 on your ttRating not iRating. I forget how exactly that's calculated but it's something to do with comparison with the WR times. IIRC, there are glitched times all over the place and ttR is pretty well ignored by people.

Also incidents count towards your SR but at a lower weighting compared to race sessions.

Odd. I am not a big TT guy so my other guess is that your time wasn't that competitive when compared to others with a similar TTrating? Can't help beyond that.

Dave, as Dale said you should not be worried at all about your TTrating.

The only reason to run time trials are if you want to compete in the time trial championship or if you want to run some laps to gain safety rating without anybody else on the track. You did gain .01 Safety rating in the Time Trial so it wasn't a loss.

The safety rating in time trials is not the same as races though.
