I think Semi Pro would be good for me. I know I'm not fast enough to compete in Pro.

Put down a vote and give your opinions guys...55+ views and 7 votes.... As for me, if we had a Semi Pro class, that's where I would go also.

The only thing that worries me is, is 3 classes to many? Would we have enough drivers in each class?
Plus Dan is right. 55 views and very few votes.

In my opinion, if we had 3-4 people each in the bottom two classes, it would be enough. we are all still racing for the same points no matter what class your in. The classes just give the guys who normally would never win a race a chance to Win in the class, It's just incentive to get out their and run your best, Plus have a small group of drivers to gauge yourself against. And it's fun having a race within a race. Just my two cents, nothing is set in stone here.
Even if we don't include a Semi Pro class, I'm going to step out of Sportsman and move up.

Sportsman. Those of us at the rear have been and continue to compete against each other. Not sure we need another class for validation. We show up and participate if we know there will be a few others to compete against. In my opinion the points speak for themselves.

What I don't understand is what will differentiate between the 3 classes besides the names? Will there be different levels of aids available for each class?

What I don't understand is what will differentiate between the 3 classes besides the names? Will there be different levels of aids available for each class? Really haven't thought it out that far Marvin. I would assume the Sportsman keep the ability to use TCS and ABS. Even though most were not using them, or were not using all of them. Semi Pro could be the lower rank that is not allowed any Aids, or it could be just ABS. I would rather it be not allowed, but that is something to talk about. But mostly I would say the deference would be drivers skill level, or what the driver thinks his skill level is.

Assuming a Semi-Pro class is to be a stepping stone into the top tier, I would lean towards removing aids. It would give drivers a chance to acclimate themselves to the Pro configuration, weening themselves off assists, while not feeling like they have to perform to the level of the front runners (not that I'm typically that fast anyways ).

I'm fine with no aids for Pro and Semi Pro.

Tenbears(Bob) and Kurt would most likely vote Sportsman, but neither of them hardly ever post. So I would say two more votes for Sportsman.
So the numbers are pretty much were I figured they would be, and if the mod we run for next season handles the way the last one did, Semi Pro with Scott, Jimmy and myself could be a lot of fun. But they're are still a lot of voters that need to speak up.
And remember, nothing is set in stone yet, so don't get your hopes up or your feelings hurt over this. But get your opinions out. We really do listen to your suggestions around here.
