As part of the big trade in, my Xbox 360 copy of Shift 2 Unleashed went to Game Stop. I got $8.29 in trade-in credit for it, which is more than its worth. Anyway, this morning I bought a digital copy of Shift 2 from Origin for $19.99, which includes all DLC. I also downloaded and installed a community patch from no grip racing, which you can find here: www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=33828Overall, I think the PC version, with the patch and mod, is pretty good. The graphics are excellent (its PC after all), particularly on the three screens. The physics and force feedback are not iRacing or rFactor caliber, but they are pretty good and comparable with Forza 4 and GT5. Physics and force feedback were the two problems with Shift 2 for Xbox that caused me to abandon this game. Otherwise, it has superb ambiance and graphics, a good, useable selection of cars, a great, substantial selection of tracks and even kick ass game music. I also love the Legends DLC, both because of the great car selection, but also because of the old school tracks. Anyway, if you liked parts of this game on Xbox, and have a good PC that can hang with this game, think about giving it a try on PC. You might like it!

yeah, I should probably give this a second chance on the PC. did not really care for it on console. but I did read somewhere that they had done a lot of working patching it... likely more so on PC than on console

One of the biggest draws for me about rFactor is the basis on real racing. Real Flag rules, tire wear, fuel usage, and real race cars is what does it for me. I love the need to really think about pit strategies and the like. If you speed in the pits, you are penalized. If you drive like a moron and light up the rear end every corner, you end up with no tires in very short order.
Its not just the driving experience. I love Test Drive Unlimited (1 and 2) for the ability to just drive great cars (and bikes in 1) around the island. No goal, just drive and enjoy. That is one reason I'm really hoping Forza Horizon will be like that. I'll get to drive the cars I love in an open environment.
For racing though, rFactor hits a home run with me.

I may have spoken too soon. I just went back in to play Shift 2 on my PC, and the force feedback was unplayably rough, I was afraid it was going to eat up my Elite wheel. Will try again tomorrow and see how it goes.

Had a good weekend of fun with this. I am Level 11 and still enjoying it. I figured out the force feedback issue, its limited to my Elite wheel, and I can make it go away by pausing the game and then resuming. There is no issue when I run my CSR wheel. Also, I had some trouble with lagging FPS. I did some research, and apparently this game does not play well with SLI. Of course, I need the SLI to run the triple screens. Solution? I shut off anti-aliasing. That seemed to fix the problem.

Guys, I am still enjoying this, more and more. It would be great if a few of you got it and we did some multiplayer as a diversion. The track selection makes multiplayer a tempting option.
$20 at Origin, with all DLC and the all important Patch 2.

I will probably take a look at this in a little bit. I still haven't got my full blown gaming system so not really doing much till that is purchased.

I'm at sim saturation. No more sims for me, no matter how good of a deal they are!

Hell, I still haven't run GTR Evo and Race 07.....both of which I already own. Nevermind rF2 or Project Cars.....

I have the game but same problem with my wheel, sometimes it just suddenly jams to the left and stays there, others a huge tank slapper happens for no good reason...not fired it up for ages and now. I've found rFactor and GBR I'm not likely to
