With David upgrading his TX wheel to avoid the 3 device issue with rfactor I remembered reading about a program called xpadder that could help. So last night I was chatting with Jeff on the server about a t500, tx and t300 dashboard from simracing hardware. He mentioned that he had a button box but cant use it because of the 3 device limit. So I sent him a link to xpadder and then did a little more searching and found an interesting thread. I thought I would share this with the group in case anybody else was running into this. I have not tried any of this since I don't have an issue since I only have 3 devices. www.xpadder.com/Here is the thread from race department that might also help using different software www.racedepartment.com/threads/breaking-the-3-controller-barrier.94084/JImmy (That's JImmy, with a capital I)

Cool, I'd heard about this workaround but never looked into it.
Just for completeness I'll mention that the Steam version of rF1 extended the controller limit (to 6 maybe?).

I know not many use Rfactor one anymore but I just wanted to say thanks for posting this and it works. I have a Thrustmaster 458 wheel, Fanatec clubsport peddles , DSD shifter and a button box.
