I came across this yesterday. The mod was just released to the public literally 2 or 3 days ago. The physics seem really good, especially for rF1. First I've seen of what appears a potential legit 2015 V8 mod, just wish it was for rF2. I am seriously considering running an exhibition with these if there is enough interest. Let me know your thoughts after you have a chance to test it out. "Rock Solid Mates are proud to present RSM Racing Mod v8's, which is based on the Australian V8 racing series. This is our first mod we have developed and have taken several months before we were happy enough with the mod to release it to the public. We have built the Holden, Ford, Mercedes and Nissan models from the ground up and have permission to use the Volvo model, although this will be replaced by our own model in the future. We have tried to maintain a high level of detail with our models which can push rFactor close to it's limits with fields over 35 cars. We are in the process of building a skin-pack for the 2015 V8SC liveries which should be finished within the next 2 weeks. We will update the link here when it is available."

Downloading... By the way, the link only takes you to Mega, not the downloads. Just copy the whole thing and paste in your browser.

Scott jumped on and we did a quick 5 lap race at Brands Hatch with 10 AI. I tried with and without Real Feel and I definitely like it more without. I tried standard and also heavy and both felt good. The rear end is much more stable than other V8 mods we've run in the past. Another thing I was pleasantly surprised with is the damage model. The roof, doors and bumpers all show damage, which is much more detailed than other rF1 mods.
It feels similar to the ORSM mod, but I sense more body roll and again, a more stable rear end. I'll be curious to hear others impressions after guys get a chance to try it out.
I threw together a quick setup for the Holden. When I tried out the Ford with the same setup, it seemed to push a bit more, but that may have been my imagination.

I really liked the feel of the Holden. It seemed very stable just running the default setup. I didn't have a chance to drive any of the other cars though. The FFB felt really good also. I don't use realfeel. I didn't change any FFB settings last night, but I think with some messing around it will be fine. Like Jason said, the damage model is impressive. All in all I think it's a very good mod and a lot of fun to drive. The only drawback for me is it's RF1. But it is good. You guys need to try it.

At 1st I didn't like it until I messed around with my ffb and wheel settings. Once I got it dialed in my opinion changed. It definitely has more grip than Orsm mod. I really like how the cars sound. Count me in if you decide to use it next season. I also read that they might be porting it over to rf2 very soon.

At the very least we can use it as a placeholder until we get something for RF2. Maybe we could do a 1/2 season using this mod in RF1 to hold us over.

Sounds promising, I'll install it later tonight after the SPAZCAR event @ Riverside.

Installed it, took a look, have not driven in it yet, but it looks reel promising. Just remember guys, just because it's on an old system, doesn't mean it's not going to be great.
I would rather run a series that works and feels good on the old and reliable rF1, then run on rF2 with something that is still not working fully. But then again, I've never been one of the newer and shinier is better guys. I'm a feel first looks last type.
One thing I really like, the templates look good, and you can even have your front wheels a different color then the back, I've always wanted this, it makes for a bigger variety of paints.
My only disappointment is, it's not all here. The read-me states: "Categories Available:
V8's - Similar to Australian V8 Supercars Miniatures - Similar to Aussie Racing Cars / Legend Cars Utes - Our representation of Australian performance Utes"
I would love to run the other two series as well, but I can't find the Mini's or Utes in the mod. If some one knows where they are, and how to get them, it would be greatly appreciated.

As a true hater of all ORSM V8 Mods, and that keep me away from V8 races, I have to say I enjoyed this cars. Felt quite nice. I found the sounds a bit weird...specially the external ones. Sometimes very artificial.
But I would definetely try my hand if we have some races with this Mod.

Sounds like we definitely have some interest here. I would like to set up an exhibition. My Mondays and Wednesdays are locked down with real life activities for the next month, but I would like to run the exhibition sooner. Would you guys be open to having a Thursday exhibition at our normal time? Maybe Thursday, May 21st? I would do it this Thursday, but I want to give guys some advanced notice so we have a chance of getting more participation. I will also touch base with TenBear and VonKiller to see if they are interested.

Also, I noticed last night while testing the mod that if you have the RealFeel plugin in your Plugins folder, it will effect the ffb even if you don't have it selected in upgrades. If you don't plan on using it, you will need to completely remove the RealFeelPlugin.dll from your Plugins directory.

FYI - If we decide to do a series, I plan on keeping it on Wednesdays. This exhibition event would just be a Thursday due to my current schedule.
