Hey Jimmy - be sure to add this to the calendar. To do this, just edit your original post and click Add Event. Select the date and for times I just use 1:00 am for both start and finish. Sometimes it go to the day before if you leave it at 12:00, depending on time zone.

Fuel for this race will be normal. With fuel set to x2 you could only get 6 laps worth of fuel in the car. I changed it to normal and a full tank now holds 13 laps. I figured nobody wanted to stop 4 times for fuel in a race. I can get 11 laps to a tank on X2 fuel but I prefer normal fuel setting as the balance change on the car as the fuel comes down is more natural and gradual. She'll be a one stopper now for sure, should be a lot of fun racing here. P.S. : What time of day is the race going to be in the game?

I will probably end up changing the fuel to Normal for the series. Thanks for the info Tony. I will check the server to see what it is set to right now. But I would guess it would be an afternoon start time like 1pm.

Good to see there was a reasonable turnout. Sorry I missed it. I got the spend the night taking a nap since I worked late yesterday then reviewing a draft Water Quality report prepared by our Provincial government.
Yay. \m/ \m/

Round 1 Silverstone
It was a decent turnout for Round 1 of the LMP2 World tour.
For the second race in a row Tony gets the trifecta with Pole Position, Fastest Lap and Race winner. Congratulations Tony!! With the race underway Tony and Jeff launched like rockets and were not to be seen again by the rest of the pack until they showed up in everybody’s rearview mirrors to lap the rest of the pack. They seemed to be having a good battle but then Tony would eventually gain a healthy lead on Jeff.
The battle for 3rd was up for grabs as JImmy had a slight off early and Dan took advantage. A lap or two later JImmy had a spin in the last chicane and that allowed Scott and Ced to jump ahead of him. JImmy was able to recover from the spin and the hunt was on. Ced and JImmy had a few laps of battles but Ced got a bit too early on the gas coming out of turn 8 and that allowed JImmy to get by. Dan and Scott would battle for 3rd for the first half of the race until it was time to refuel. Unfortunately Dan had a short in his Pit Limiter button and received a drive thru penalty for speeding in Pit Lane. Scott now held 3rd tightly in his hand but JImmy had him in his sights and was ready to get 3rd back. They had a few laps together but then Scott had to jump into the pits to refuel and get fresh tires. JImmy was back in 3rd but would be in the pits also for fuel and tires. As JImmy exited the pits Scott was heading down the front straight. Scott was looking to get 3rd back and catch JImmy exiting the pits but Scott overshot his braking point heading into turn 3. JImmy was safe for now but Scott and Dan would soon be putting the pressure on for the last podium position. With Dan serving his drive thru penalty he was on a mission to hunt down Scott and JImmy and work his way back up to 3rd. He had an impressive drive and was able to close the gap to Scott and get by him but ran out of time to battle JImmy for 3rd.
A rare sighting at this race was the return on non-other than GBR founder Jason Hawks. With no time at all in these cars and having to remember the twisting complicated layout of Silverstone, Jason was happy to be back behind the wheel and battle with Geoff for the first half of the race.
Joe had been battling with some major electronic issues the day of the race and was unable to get them sorted before the race started. Chris was also having some technical difficulties and was unable to participate. Hopefully Joe and Chris will be able to get these issues sorted and join us for Round 2 at Brands Hatch.
Thanks for everyone that was able to come out and join the fun. Congrats to the podium. See you guys in two weeks.

Wow, that was a fun race. These cars are a blast to drive. Some great battles on track and solid driving by all and nice to see some unexpected racers drop in. Congrats to Jeff and a scrapping JImmy on a hard fought 3rd position. Jeff was very consistent through the race and drove a solid race as well. As soon as Jeff stops sandbagging after luring me into a false sense of security we will be much closer I am sure. Seriously though, I'm sure everyone's pace will rise in short order as the season goes on and some circuits will suit certain drivers more or less. It should be an interesting season for sure.
Thanks to the people that were able to make it and for the heads up driving by all, great stuff!
