Race is this Thursday guys. Short notice but hey, it's an exhibition.  Going to change it up a little. We will go NORMAL tire wear for this event. However, this time there will be NO mandatory pit stop for the 2nd race either. You guys are welcome to pick a new car if you want. And here is yet another blast from the past from our race here in Season 5. This is one where I mixed in some radio chatter during the race. Beware of the land mine off to the left after turn 1. I'm still sore from that wreck. |

I thought Thursday was an day off last time. That we were back to Wednesday events.
Thursday is hard for me because I have another league the same day.
Last time I made it...but dont know if again.

My Wednesdays are still locked down until mid June (real life obligations). After that, my schedule should be back to normal.
If this date will or won't work, let me know ASAP guys. Would appreciate it if everyone can chime in.

Last week was pure madness on my racing schedule, it got out of control.

@ Angelo, If we run a series with it, it will be Wednesday nights.
And as far as I'm concerned, it should be the next series, but, I'm not in charge here, they just let me run my mouth. For now...

Dose normal tire wear mean x1 or x2? As our normal lately has been x2.

A note on our tires, we tried to set them up so the soft will last about 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank and the hards around 1.5 tanks at most tracks on X wear. We have found that this allows for multiple strategies in most races depending on the length. They aren't overly realistic to the real tires but that is one of the sacrifices we made for Sim racing.

Thanks Carr. So far I'm really liking the mod. Oultan Park has a lot of dips and rises and you can really feel it through the suspension of the car. Also, I agree the softs have a ton of grip, but as we found at Winton, they will wear out very quickly if you push too hard. This time around should be interesting with tire wear at normal rate. No mandatory pit stop either race, so will make strategies very crucial (especially for Race 2). |
