I saw Chris posted about this in the Sebring thread, but I think we should have a new thread.
I start working Monday-Friday at the end of this month so I will be able to race with you guys for these endurance events.
Any car is ok for me. As soon as we get the teams and cars selected, I will start looking for some setups.
Here are those who are interested so far:
Chris (Helios) Sheldon (OldSlowFred) Troy (Jarhead) Dale (F1Fan07) David F. (Zedarchitect)

Thanks for starting this. I was planning on doing it once I had some confirmation that there was interest in doing so again.

Should probably try to establish the approximate duration of a fuel run to figure out the best size team per car. If we get a couple more for 3 drivers per car, that would probably be ideal as you would have a driver, a spotter/crew chief, and a guy on rest the entire run. But we'll see if we get more interest. We'll figure it out w/ however many we get as it's just for fun anyways.

Need to get a vote on the car to run. Even if we do decide to run 2 teams, I think it would still be best to focus on one car so we can get a setup dialed in that works for everyone with in car changes. I have everything so it doesn't really matter to me. I don't really like the BMW though, it has bad visibility for my cockpit setup.
One of the biggest personal preference settings is brake bias which can be adjusted in car. Just have to remember to do it each time you get in the car. Another one is TC which can also be adjusted on the fly. I'm not sure about ARB for these cars. I know you can adjust them in some cars. This can make a significant difference in handling for different driving styles.
Edit:
Practice sessions. I have plenty of credits in my account for hosted sessions. Plus I have hosted enough sessions lately to get the discount so I can do 2 hour sessions for $0.75. I will be working the evening shift starting June 29th. My work hours will be 2:00pm - 10:30pm EDT. This will be beneficial for the west coast guys since the earliest I will be able to get on is 11:00pm EDT which will be 8:00pm on the west coast.
So as we get closer, just need to find out when we can all get together for some practice. We can start out with individual practice, then move into team practice as we get closer to the race. Big things I have seen from reading about these races is working on getting into and out of the pits efficiently and driver swaps. Also need to make your in car adjustments before getting back on track to avoid spins.

We had good success w/ the FGT GT3 last go around. My preference would be either to stick with that or the Ruf. I don't own the BMW, and the Mclaren is too edgey on turn in for an endurance race w/ guys that don't spend a lot of time in the car.

I've always struggled in the RUF. FordGT is better for me.

Sounds like the consensus is the Ford GT3 then. Good choice, I will start looking for setups.

I'll try the set we used at Sebring...assuming the recent changes haven't mucked it up. The car was quick and stable around Sebring earlier this year, getting us through 12 hours and minimal issues. Sebring 12hr FGT GT3

The set should work ok. Minor tweaks if anything. There were only small changes to the car for Season 3. Chassis torsion modelling and NTM V6 tires.

That Sebring tune was pretty good. I think I just had to adjust the brake balance when I got in the car for my personal preference.
