Got family in town, so I doubt I'll make it tonight.

I'm out. The Mrs. And I have got a flight out early tomorrow morning and way to much to do before we leave. I wish that I had the time to race. I've had fun practicing.

The results for the 7 lap sprint race will stand. Due to technical difficulties the 16 lap season finale race will be rescheduled for two weeks from now.
Grid will be maintained for the 16 lapper but any new drivers will likely be randomly gridded at the back so as to not mix up the already set grid.
Sorry for the troubles tonight. See you in two weeks.

The wild cards racing only the last round are elegible to score points?

Well... my bad. I did some investigating and noted that in Race 1 where we all seemed to drop for a few seconds and in Race 2 when we all did drop, that happened at approximately 15 minutes in. I then discovered that my laptop (which was connected to a desktop session on the server) was on battery power and sleeps if I don't touch it for 15 minutes. I ran some tests and yup... if I'm connected to the server via Remote Desktop and the laptop sleeps then the server freaks out for a second and we either come close to dropping or we drop completely.  |

I have a question, as this is a Championship. The wild cards racing only the last round are elegible to score points? I discussed this with Jason and we agreed that the drop-ins aren't part of the championship points as they aren't league members. That said, they are more than welcome to join GBR and be part of the next championship or any other races we do. It's great to have some new faces in the races. |

The sprint race was fun. I started in 4th, made a good start jumping Jeff to 3th. That guy NOOBIE (I think...) had a spin on lap 1, and I was battling my old rival for 2nd place. Good fight as usual Jeff.  On the very last lap when the battle was heating up, we had the conection issue, I thought I had a problem on my end and the race was over....but right on the last chicane all came back and Jeff was just ahead of me. And I reeeeeally mean RIGHT ahead! We then went to have a crazy finish on the last few meters, swapping paintings and stuff. One of the most crazy finishes I ever had...lol Thanks for the answer of my last post, Dale. Aways good to know the rules, as I was confused this night. |

Remember everyone, the rescheduled intermediate race is Wed Sep 16th. Same grid as the Red Flagged race (top-half inversion of Race 1 results), unqualified drivers will get randomly gridded to the back. See you there! Angelo basically just needs to take the start and finish in the top-10 or so to seal the championship and defeat Kurt but we know he's had internet problems lately... George has wrapped up the Sportsman Championship so this race is now for some bragging rights for 2nd place in that competition. |
