I have a Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Base V2 (or is it V2.5, sadly I cant recall any more). In iRacing when I am not on the track the wheel will turn smoothly full stop both directions. Same thing when I go to setup the wheel in Options. But as soon as I am on the track whenever I turn more than say 30 or 40 degrees either way it is like it snaps loose, no force feedback and goes into a hard turn that direction. Never had that happen before in any game. Have not been on iRacing since for at least a month, so I am thinking this is something has changed in iRacing. Has anyone else experienced this?

after much playing around (its a game right?) managed to get latest drivers installed and then a firmware update on wheel. Seem to have gotten rid of the wheel behaviour, actually if you turned very slow would not lose the FFB but the quicker you turned the wheel the less degrees it took, very strange. But now have stuttering sound in the race, argh...

Thanks again for the paint Snappy. No need to change it further. I'm going to make a couple of small adjustments then I'm good to go!
What a pain it was getting set up. I got home late then grabbed a less than great setup for this track. Then... my headset started beeping its battery warning because it didn't charge overnight and was refusing to recognize that I had a USB cable attached. It's done this once before and I have to let it drain all the way down and charge from dead. In the meantime it was a scramble to get a wired headset working and even though the mic wasn't recognized, at least I had playback.
I was so slow!

I was super slow! It seemed like I couldn't get any go. The first few laps I was trying to hang on to the pack, but then here come the HPD's.....After the laping started, I spent the rest of the race looking in my mirror. I guess it was okay for my first race. I don't think I screwed anyone up and I kept it off the walls!

Autobahn cherries popped! Hope you guys had fun last night. There are a lot of fast guys in the league. Most of the regulars are pretty good to race around. The first few races take a little bit to get the new guys sorted out, and everyone used to running with each other. It's definitely intense. Next race is going to be really hectic. I just played it conservative last night. I think I finished 15th in class. I think Sheldon is looking pretty in GTD AM at the moment. Nice run last night bud. I had nothing for that rocketship AMG.

Hooper is starting to find some pace. Won't be long and I won't be able to keep up with him. If you hadn't spun, I don't know that I would've been able to get by.

I wish GTE had some slower guys to play with. It was all I could do to hold on to the back of the pack then I made a couple of mistakes and was by myself. Also, I've got to stop picking cars that are barely faster then the slower class. It took me a lap to get past a fast GT3 car and then only because he lifted.

Yeah, I struggled with that a lot in the GT1. You'd have some guys in the GT3s would run deep on the brakes and get back alongside going into the corner. Felt like screaming over the mic "You're not helping!" On the flip side, now that you're in you should be able to have priority for car/class switch next season.

Is there some secret to setting up an iRacing hosted practice session? I have tried several times over the last couple of weeks to set up a hosted practice. But generally when I try to confirm I get the message below: "It looks like you used the back button to create the same session twice. To create another hosted session please fill out the form again." I think one time it was a different message, but the end result is quite frustrating. How hard can iRacing make it to do this I think Dave has managed to do this for Autobahn, anyone else been able to create hosted practice sessions?

Found a likely answer after a search of the iRacing forum (should have done that first ). It looks like this is a problem with taking more than 15 seconds to setup a hosted session Sadly, as can be seen on the track, I am just not that quick

That's stupid to have that short of a window to set up all those settings. 60 seconds maybe...
