#2 of a three race weekly mini-series. All bets are off this time. It's a wet race!! Some things to be aware of: - The track won't fully dry in 20 minutes but a dry line will form. - Quali will be light rain and constant... a dry line will not form - It's impossible to make practice behave like the race due to the different lengths of time. Everyone should manually advance the server to race and run a full 20 minutes to understand what the race will be like. - You must start the race on Wet tires. Change if you want as the track dries. RESULTS: not yet DATE: Wednesday, October 28, 2015 TIME: Quali session starts at 7:15 PM Pacific / 10:15 PM Eastern, Races begin at about 7:30 PM Pacific / 10:30 PM Eastern. LENGTH: 2 x 30 minute races. PIT: No mandatory pit stop required FUEL: normal TIRES: x2DAMAGE: 50% DRIVING AIDS: Auto Clutch, Low TCS, Low ABS Setups/Tuning: Open

I think the time we did that one wet race they had some odd things happening with the start times of the sessions. I am out of practice, but I know you can set the start time of each session so that the track conditions seem to progress from wet to a drying track without a big jump. I think they had the server set with a long time between Qual-Warmup-Race so the track conditions would jump in between sessions. I think a little bit of time is good since in real life sessions are often a day apart, but it should feel natural.
I dont mean to complicate your task for an exhibition, but that was one observation from the one race I did in the wet. I can't wait!

Todd and I did some testing tonight. It started out wet, then slowly started to dry out, but it also turned dark. Is that the way you have it set intentionally?

OK, server is set, I think. Everyone should try practicing in the race session at least once.
I wanted the track to dry during the race but there's just not enough time without accelerating the time scale to crazy levels.

Scott and I tested a 20 minute race distance. If there are no objections I would like to change the events to 2 x 30 minutes.
As it is, everything happens too fast. I changed from wet to dry at 8:00 to go, one/two lap to warm up the tires then two fast laps at 6 sec/lap faster than wet and the race was over.
Tire wear is good... no one should wear out the wets before it's time for a switch to dry. FYI, tire wear is 2x. Previous events were 1x.
