Halo 5 - thoughts?

Anyone excited for this? Halo is one of the anchor franchises for Xbox but I'm finding myself pretty lukewarm this time.

Firstly, and this biases my position, I hate multiplayer, PvP, etc in this type of game. I know I'm going to get pwned by people with more time to play the game, level up, etc. When I do venture into multiplayer (as I did recently in GTA:V) I usually just exit after 10 minutes because I'm sick of listening to pre-teen chatter. I am a Campaign player.

Secondly, I've played much of the Halo series and it just feels (in Campaign) like the same old thing over and over. It's like being a Coldplay fan.

I'm seeing claims that the Campaign mode is 8-12 hours. More if you explore. OK, I'm not sure that's worth $75 bucks. Shit, I have 32 hours in LEGO:Jurassic Park and I'm only 75% complete, although I suppose I completed the story in a few hours...

I pre-loaded Fallout 4 because it appeals more to my style but Halo 5 I think I'll be waiting for a Black Friday or Xmas deal.

I've never been a big Halo fan. I used to play a bit with my old college buddies, but haven't for years. Just could never get back into it.

I have all the HALO games to date, but like Dale said, HALO 5 is geared more to the multiplayers and I like to run the single player game more.
I did enjoy running them in co-op with friends, but that is as multiplayer as I like to go.
So for me, this will be a sell item purchase, not a day 1 deal.

The only way to play Halo (or pretty much any shooter game) is to have a few friends and do a private room. I have a few buddies that I play with and we have a good time. Drink beer and curse each other, that kind of stuff. I'm pretty much nothing more than a bullet sponge but it's still a good time. So if anyone wants to play Halo next weekend and actually have fun, hit me up on XBL!
