Just got word from work that they will be removing our shift trades and replacing them with positive pay come the new yr so atm it looks like this could be my last race of season  |

I can't find any speed here and struggle with looping the car. A bit frustrated.
Anyhow, what I really wanted to post was that these cars do not have starters. I (and perhaps Chris) were caught out in Adelaide and unable to restart our cars. I assumed I forgot to map a button but that is not the case. Tested last night and the car can only be started while in the pits. As soon as you cross the pit end line you are SOL if you stall it.
Do any of you V8 experts know if the real cars have on-board starters or not?

I found this over at race department and the guy said that seemed to have fixed it.
It could be a simple entry in the engine ini or HDV file (can't remember which one) called "onboardstarter" same as the launch control?
Another user suggested this -
If the car stalls just try to turn auto clutch off and on again and GSC should restart your car
Hope those help.

Real cars have starters, as they have to be shut down for fueling. Remember SVGs car not restarting late in the Bathurst 1000 2 years ago?
That's rather annoying about the starter...I suppose I can turn on auto-clutch...but that kinda annoys me as I like to drive the cars w/o the nannys.

I will try the auto clutch trick. It sounds like you just need to cycle it on then off again. I am glad they turned off the launch control - that made it way too easy.
