What about we try a reverse grid for the 2nd Race? based on the result of Race 1, not the Qualy. This track should be good for that. Good space for racing.

Well, quali and Race 1 was a bust but I got my stuff together in Race 2. Unfortunately it took me until the midpoint of the race to get any speed as I relearned braking points.
What happened is after installing Windows 10 on the weekend, my controller IDs were all different. That's not a problem except for old sims like rF1-engine sims where it uses the ID numbers. Unknown to me, I rushed it when rebuilding the controller profile and GSC was only recognizing the last 1/2 of my brake and throttle travel. So my brake was basically an on/off switch at about 75 pounds of force and I had the 75-100 pound range for fine modulation. I got my leg workout! I re-assigned the axes slowly before race 2 and all was back to normal.

Great fun and as always a great time at Hidden valley. Very exciting short track. Race 1 started with a nice butt-pucker with Dale's brake issue and him almost taking out me, Chris, Ricardo and himself. Luckily we all survived and had a good race. Race 2 I got a great start but I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with the top 4 for long. Then Ricardo was all over my rear bumper. I didn't put up much of a fight knowing he would get around me eventually. I finally hit that inside wall on the last turn and Dale was able to get around me but I was able to stay right on his rear bumper for the rest of the race. I could tell he was still having brake issues because he was locking up on turn 1 and the last turn, very uncharacteristic for him. I was finally able to get side by side with him on the front straight but I was not able to get in front of him. I just hope it was as satisfying for him as it was for me!

Great race, as usual. Thanks, fellows. Race 1, fierce fight with Jason, with Jeff very close most of the time. I overtook Jason very early on in a very good combat, quite a few turns side by side. But I didnt manage to lost him after that. The battle went to the very last lap. Close to the end of the lap, we caught Joel spining and trying to find his way back. I was the first one there, and was quite a scary moment, because at first I didnt knew to which side he was going! This affected me mentally a little bit, I was a bit shaken...lol, as Jason at this point was almost under my car putting some strong pressure. Arriving the final turn, with him so close and after that moment, I overdid the whole thing trying a clumsy defensive move. Of course I did a mistake and Jason went inside to take the victory. A deserved one, in fact. He was faster, put the pressure, did the fastest lap...so, yeah. Congrats Mr. Hawks! Race 2, the strategy game. Know the moment of save, and push. After a fun battle with Jeff, and manage to hold him off for a long time, the smooth drive paid off, and I was able to put some distance and take the win. I enjoying a lot this series, those cars. And to me personally there are no better AussieV8s out there at the moment.

Really fun racing last night. Race 1 was an excellent 3 way battle with Angelo and Jeff. The race came down to the final corner of the final lap as Angelo mentioned. I never imagined I would squeeze out a win this season. Felt good to finally get back on the podium, let alone the top step. Race 2 went pretty well, but I was paranoid about tires. The last couple long races I went with hard tires and it was a miserable failure both times. This time I rolled the dice and tried softs. Did my best not to lock up and had some great battles with Jeff and Chris. Chris got by early on, but was able to get it back and we had a 4 or 5 car train going for quite awhile. I found myself in 3rd about 2-3 seconds behind Jeff and Angelo and Chris fell back a few seconds which gave me some breathing room. As the race went on, I could not keep pace with the leaders without destroying my tires even more, so the last 10 laps or so I just tried to manage the gap to Chris and Ricardo. Congrats to Angelo on the victory and Jeff for running a flawless race as well. Look forward to Mosport in a couple weeks.

I could tell he was still having brake issues because he was locking up on turn 1 and the last turn, very uncharacteristic for him. My pedal issues were fine at that point. What I was trying to do is see if I could close the gap to Chris and Ricardo. Unfortunately, I was still learning how deep I could go in the braking zones... on worn tires. After about 5 laps of that I had to give up and focus on keeping you behind
