The fix for this (and some other issues) is likely to be in the next patch maybe on Monday (they've delayed it a few times).

Patch was delayed until today, then cancelled again. Sounds like they are having some serious issues. Hope it gets resolved soon.

I haven't had any problems with stuttering. It works for me the same as it did before the update. I did have a slight problem with DX-11 mode though, so I went back to DX-9. Hopefully they get it fixed soon because DX-11 did show promise and it opens up the sim to a bunch of other features, mainly day/night transitions.
I have the Audi, but haven't driven it yet. I was planning to start practicing for the Nurburgring 24 with it, but now we don't even know if it will be one of the cars. I will try to test it out this weekend and let you know what I think.

I tried doing a google review of the new cars but the only thing i could find was an article from the clowns over at Pretend racers from there article they described it as exactly the same as the other gt3 cars tons of grip easy to handle etc. etc. He did throw in a line saying from what he read on the forums was that it was typical iracing release....release the car with similar specs to the others and wait on feedback from the community to do the fine tuning and balancing within the class. From the sounds of it the merc and audi are the slowest cars every where in the gt3 class. He did praise the new mx-5 and said it was one of the funnest and best cars hes driven in all of sim racing. Really wish they had a test before you buy system in place, i think ill hold off till next season ib hope they get everything sorted and balanced pretendracecars.net/category/iracing/

I've never seen it in DX9 and the DX11 executable is the smoothest iRacing has ever been and perhaps the best of any sim I've played.

I finally tested DX11 and it was great. I take it the crashing issue hasn't been addressed yet?
Off topic: I heart the Formula Renault.

Hey guys. If you're having the stuttering issues with DX11 mode enabled then I recommend you DL the utility created by member Dayne Thompson. It automatically disables core 0. You can find the link to it in the OP of the thread I linked in my OP. I ran a Renault official race using it last night using the fix and it seems like a good temporary solution until iracing patches it permanently. Good luck.

I am getting minor stuttering issues at Indy using DX 11 and so I will try this fix.

It looks like the patch is delayed. From what I read on the forums, the stuttering fix is more involved than thought. Also, someone uncovered a nasty bug in the Mercedes GT3:

I downloaded Scott's program last night and ran it while I did a race at Martinsville with a full field. I had no stuttering whatsoever. My FPS never dropped below 60. I run vsync. Smooth as silk. I also downloaded MSI Afterburner and used it during the race. I saw high levels of GPU utilization (I have most eye candy at Max) and all four cores of my i5 CPU were working hard. I will keep testing this week at other tracks, but preliminary indications are that the problem with stuttering has been solved.

I've gotten booted out of official races 3 times in a row due to DX11 issues. Even with the fix. It has cost me 200 iRating points. Ouch.
It happens when transitioning from a practice session to the quali/race session. The game registers me into the session but has a hang up when actually bringing me into the session. Result=the equivalent of dropping out. A huge I ratings hit.
Switching back to DX9 until they fix/patch it. A shame too because the game runs so smoothly with DX11 and Scott's fix.

Yeah, the stuttering fix wasn't related to the DX11 crashes. We have to wait for iRacing's update (hopefully) later this week.
I think the session change crash happens mostly if the new replay system is active.
