I will start tonight, but not sure I'll be able to finish, my shoulder is killing me, and no, I did not do anything this time except get out of bed this morning, and anyone above the age of 45 can tell you it happens quite often.

Start of the GBR V8 Super Car Season 10 finalle! Ricardo Campos set the track record on the Qualifying session: Dan Wheat´s front view of the slight mess at Turn 1, after the start: Ricardo Campos and Angelo dos Santos fighting for the lead in the early stages. Unfortunately a connection problem took Ricardo out. Such a shame for a promising performance. Dale Green was having another solid run, on the fight for the podium...until... Armando "Boza" Edwards, coming back for the last round, was competitive and fast as usual. The fastest man on the track during the race, was only beaten on strategy, finishing on a very strong 2nd place. A great and welcome return. Jeff Hooper x Armando. After the pit stops this fight put the crowd on their feets! Jeff Hooper, 3th place finish at the end. Chris Sherburn kept his head down through all the problems. Rewarded with a nice 4th place finish. Brazilian Sergio Justen, in a rare appearence, sat out the Qualy session. But soldier all the difficulties to get a surprising 5th place. Angelo dos Santos, winner of the race in a tatic move, after an off before his pit stop. The Season 10 Champion!

After missing Interlagos, my goal was to get past Scott and Ed in the points, Scott made it easier by missing a race or two, but Ed made it hard with his slow but steady pace and running all the races, just missed getting enough points to pass him, of course it might have been different if I could have finished half the races at least, but it seems my specialty this season was durability testing the cars, and they failed.

Great season and great racing as always. Congrats to Angelo for the Championship.
Sorry about the FUBAR at turn 1. I didn't see the lights and took off a bit late. That got me rattled and completely missed my braking point for the turn. I would also like to apologize for my out burst late in the race. I exited the pits about 8 seconds ahead of Chris and on my cold tires he closed that gap quickly. I kept telling myself not to push and just keep doing what I had been doing. Chris closed the gap to about 2 seconds. In my infinite wisdom I decided to brake a bit later on the last turn and sure enough that backfired. I messed up my braking and the turn and hit the wall. Chris was now a good 20 seconds ahead and there was no way I was going to catch him. My care showed a warning light that it was overheating so I cooled it a bit and that warning went away. But then a few laps later going down the backside of the mountain going down Skyline into the Esses, I hit the wall again. I thought I was fine one I recovered by apparently I damaged the engine/radiator too badly and my car died and caught on fire. Was fun while it lasted and looking forward to the next season.

That's sucks Jimmy. I was looking forward to a good scrap in the second half of the race.
I had a rough first few laps, which saw me relegated off the tail of the field. I eventually settled down and worked up to about 12 seconds off Jimmy. Tried using some strategy to close the gap...which worked quite well. By the time Jimmy pitted and had a lap to warm up his tires, the gap was now down to 2.5 seconds. Then Jimmy had his whoopsie. After that it was just a matter of trying to keep it clean as the next cars were almost 1 minute in front of me. No use pushing to try to catch someone that is faster...and end up wrecking. Picked up another spot late in the race when Dale lost it coming onto the front straight, watching his Bathurst dreams go up in a ball of flames.

So missing 5 races and still ending up in the top 10, I feel pretty good about my season. I would have liked to have caught Dan and Ed in the points. I think the 3 of us are pretty well matched up for good racing. All in all it was a very fun season of racing. I've never raced with a better bunch of guys as you guys. Thanks GBR and thanks to Jason for setting up this series.
Can't wait to see what's next. I have my new wheel and I'm ready to go!

I was feeling OK about my strategy. I only took two tires at the pitstop along with a short fuel stop. In my case it saved about 10-15 seconds and I gained two places after pitstops were done. I had to let the faster Jeff and Armando by but was hoping to catch them later in the race. Alas, it was not to be. I got on the gas a fraction too early with tires on a curb and the car whipped around into the wall. Dead engine.
Oh well, with Ricardo's issues that meant my 3rd in the standings was safe. It's a shame I didn't figure out the car earlier in the season and maybe challenged for 2nd in the standings.
Congrats to Angelo and all who participated. It was good to see the car count up again for this race.

Congrats Angelo and thanks for the recap!! It was nice racing with you guys last night, I forgot how fun the V8's are to drive. I messed up qually by using hard tires and by the time I noticed, it was too late to switched back to soft tires. oh well no biggie. Then I almost missed the start of the race because I was trying to figure out fuel stratergy but I forgot to change my fuel display from liters to gallons which I had me confused on what to do. Start of the race I was flustered, I had bad start and almost got up in the mayhem at T1 but got lucky and settle in 5th behind Dale with Dan behind me putting pressure on me for first couple of laps. Once I settled in I was just pushing the car trying to catch Dale and Jeff and thats when the fun started!! It was like old times, had good battles with both of them. After they pitted I found myself in 2nd chasing Angelo but I couldn't close the gap until he spun out going into the dipper. Then it was time to pit and I was clueless on what to do so I just filled up and took 4 tires which cost me alot of time. I came out behind Dale and Jeff and the fun started again. I wish I had a replay of the last couple of laps, that fight with Jeff was epic!! All in all is was fun night and I'm happy with second. Thanks guys for a great race!!

Thanks for a great season, fellows. Im happy to have won this one...and with so many wins, contrary to the Season 9. It was a fantastic season for me with a car that I really enjoy. We had so many good races, very hard fought ones.
This race was one of my best. After start at the front row, I managed to overcome Ricardo because a small mistake by him, and was in a control position after that. Jeff pushed really hard for some time before the pit stop, but I manage to respond. Right before my pit, I was leading with Boza some 5secs back, but entering the "corckscrew" I did a bad mistake loosing it on the braking and spun out, giving up the lead. I wasnt sure which stategy I would use up until that point, but that forced my hand to try the risky one. And it worked just fine. After the pit I controled my pace and kept the focus on not overdrive the car, and the tires responded really well.
Great finally have a win on this special track, where usually I struggle!
Thanks for put this together for us, Jason. And Dale for keep things running smooth. But Jason...ffs...next time do a schedule around dates you can race!!!
Cheers.

By the way....would be really nice if someone could do a poster to me...with a cool picture of my car, the GBR logo, celebrating this... Oh, OK Princess... I have a template for that that I used to use. I'll get to it.
