thanks for the info! Tho i never start in the pits....its just not racing too me, never done it in any other sim and not gonna start now just to protect some rating. One thing i truely hate about iracing, i did 4 races today and in one race i had 9 incidents because the guy behind was drafting me and nudging my bumper. They need to figure out a way to eliminate small contacts, especially when its caused by someone from behind and only record major hits resulting in a spin or damage to car plus rework there track cutting as id like to see something along the lines of RRE cut detection which allows 2 wheels off track to help promote going 2 wide on a street courses or if you get pushed wide your not held at fault. If you want to race, I would never recommend starting from the pits. But the rookie street stock series is not about racing. It is a bunch of brand new rookies who don't know anything about racing. Your only goal should be to get out of rookies and get your D license. And the only way to do that is to increase your safety rating. The only way to increase your safety rating is to run races or time trials with very few or no incidents. You can race if you want, but if you want to get out of that terrible rookie series, you have to increase your safety rating. Starting from the pits is the best way to do it. Just suck it up for 2 or 3 races and you will be done with it.

While I agree, it takes more than a few races. You have to be at 3+ and wait for the end of the season or get all the way up to 4.

If you achieve a 4.00 safety rating you end up getting a "field promotion" to the next license class. I don't remember if that's the actual name of it but they do promote you to the next license if you hit an SR of 4.00 and have run the minimum number of races (4). You can run 4 races at the same track in one week, hell...in one day.
Good luck...you can do it.
