I started running the Lotus 79 last season. It is a very challenging car to drive. I plan to run every week this season. This past week was the first time they have ever raced on an oval. I found some good setups on the forum and with some tweaks, made them even better. I ran a few races on Saturday and came close, but couldn't quite get the win. So I tried again on Sunday. There was no race at 2:30 or 4:30, so I thought that was it. I checked back at 6:30 and there were just enough for a race. I had the fastest setup in the race. I started on pole and led most laps. The only reason I didn't lead a few laps is because another racer stayed out on some cautions when I got tires. I got the lead back within a few laps after every caution. I almost gave it away on lap 87 when I got loose and spun in turn 4. I didn't hit anything though and was able to get it straightened out without even losing the lead. I took it easy near the end to make sure I had no more spins. Here are the results: Here is a link so those on iRacing can see better: members.iracing.com/membersite/member/EventResult.do?&subsessionid=16424415&custid=111813

Congrats Troy!! Getting a win in that series is almost next to impossible. That could of been 2 wins, cause you definitely could of won that race on Sat. I blew it twice over the weekend. I had the lead with 10 to go and spun out both times going into turn 3.

I had the lead with 10 to go and spun out both times going into turn 3. Thanks Boza. I found out it wasn't worn tires which was causing the spins. I pitted several times on Sunday and still spun out. The spinning was caused by being low on fuel. Dropping the rear ARB during the run helped to control the rear end as the car got lighter on fuel.

I lowered my rear to 3 and I still spun out I just had no rear grip and plus the track temp was 116F!!! Kicking myself for not adding more wing.
