Asides from AMS i had been finding the majority of sims ffb some what lackluster to my liking using the suggested FFB settings in the
thrustmaster profile that youll find in many threads
Thrustmaster profile:
Master Gain: 75%
Constant: 100%
Periodic: 100%
Spring: 0%
Damper: 0%
Auto center setting: by the game
So i did some research and found some info from a wheel guru which enhanced the ffb greatly especially in iracing. The issues i was having was i found that the ffb lacked in detail especially during cornering after a few laps.
These are the new settings suggested.
Thrustmaster profile:
Master Gain: 100% (75% was originally suggested by T500 users for a linear setting)
Constant: 100%
Periodic: 100%
Spring: 1% helps eliminate the loosness around the center
Damper: 100% only comes into play if you enable ingame dampening i use 5% in iracing and adds a little weight to the wheel
Auto center setting: by the game
Most important tip.....Fan control settings
The tx/300rs are set to automatic fan control out of the box and has a built in motor protection that cuts the strength of the ffb signal in half to protect the motor when it hits a certain temp, but when set to automatic it will cut the ffb strength before the fan turns on and will take 15-45 min for the ffb to return to full strength. This is why i was finding the ffb to lack in detail after a few laps, other wise called fading.
So i set the fan control to "force on" combined with the new settings above and the ffb was night and day in iracing, i ve ran x2 45 min practice sessions in the Ruf cup and the ffb strength has stayed full the entire time
To enable the the 2 fan controls between automatic and forced hold the Mode button and 8 button simultaneously and will make the led light above mode blink if done correctly
1 blink means its in automatic fan mode
2 blinks means its in Forced fan mode and you should hear the fan turn on
Once applied youll most likely have to lower your ingame ffb setting a bit to avoid clipping due to the new TM profile strength increase.
