Thrustmaster released a firmware update and it adds an option for the cooling fan. You can set the wheel to Automatic mode or Forced mode. If you push the number 8 button and the mode button simultaneously, the mode light will flash 2 times for forced mode. If you do it again, the mode light will flash once, then it's back to the automatic mode.

yup thats what i use, click the post in my comment above. If i recall you modded your gte rim? if so hold the mode button and button 8 which is the off toggle on the gte rim. the led mode light will flash 2 times meaning forced on, you will also hear it turn on. 1 blink of the led is automatic mode

Yeah, I saw your post and tried it. It didn't work. I tried it with an I modified F1 rim. I will see if there is a firmware update available.

I didnt realize i wasnt running the latest driver so i updated and my lord is the FFB much better in several of the sims i tested as i was feeling stuff i never felt before. I always found the wheel to be flat when driving over elevation changes and is now really alive. They sure did a great job optimizing the driver, the new driver with forced fan on has zero fading that ive found and to be honest the strength of the wheel is ridiculous, after about 10 mins of gameplay my shoulders start to burn lol

My arms actually got tired Wednesday night driving the RF2 Corvette at Topeka. I had to turn the FFB overall strength down. I'll see how it feels at the next race. I sure do love the new wheel though.

I finally updated everything and tried Dave's settings. I had most of the settings like his but the others worked well.
I did have to replace the fan in my TX wheel base. It was getting so noisy that it was distracting me. All night Sunday it was making me nervous and it was all I could concentrate on. I ordered a similar fan off Amazon that same night and swapped it in today. It is much quieter and I can feel it moving the air where before I didn't feel a thing. You have to cut and reconnect the connector to the new fan. If anyone needs info on how to do it, let me know.
