It's that time of year again, and I'm fighting a sinus infection coupled with a migraine, so I doubt I'll make it tonight.

Start of the sprint race! Spin for Dale Green at T1 right after the start. He recovered well. 4th at end of Race 1. Joe Benton outbrake Ed Durbin and take 5th. Jimmy Regan had a quiet and efficient Race 1. 3th place and one more Podium. Angelo dos Santos wins the sprint race. The field heads turn 1 after the start of Race 2. This time with random grid positions! 20 laps ahead. After start in 5th, Angelo attacks furiously, taking the lead well before the end of lap 1 at the hairpin. Here the overtake for the lead on Jeff Hooper, from Durbin´s view: At end of lap 1 Joe Benton spins in front of Chris Sherburn, and they make contact! Fortunately both continue on the race. For Chris specially, far from over! Dale Green and Jimmy Regan hunting down Ed Durbin! Dale x Jimmy Jeff Hooper tried really hard to fight back the lead, but was Angelo´s turn to have the control. The brazilian sweeps the event with 2 wins. Now, off to Donington for the title fight! The grand finale for the event! After a great comeback drive, Chris Sherburn chases Jimmy Regan non stop for 3th...and make the move entering the Stadium section on the last lap. Good stuff from both drivers! Hard fought Podium for the "better and aways late than never" north american!

Thanks for another great recap Angelo! Thanks to everyone that was able to make it for the race. I was getting a little nervous about 8:45 local time as I was the only person on the server. But slowly the grid gathered numbers and we had a great time. Results here ===> Simresults
Points update The points are very close. Jeff is right on the heels of Angelo. 3rd through 6th is up for grabs and the last race will probably shuffle the standings quite a bit.

Great pictures Angelo. Your Race 2 start was impressive. I figured the shuffled grid would hurt you for the opening laps but nope!
My races weren't great. A busy week and no practice meant I was learning the track as I was going. I also wasn't happy with my tune and ended up running both races on the Default which felt better.

Yeah, I usually just run default setup, then drop the rear wing to around 23ish and set the Brake Map to 0. R1 was complete learning curve for me. A lot of the changing asphalt colors threw me for a loop. After a pitstop for repairs, I started finding my reference points. R2 I didn't know what to expect after getting caught up w/ Joe early on. I just took it one lap, one car ahead of me at a time. One down, who's next? I was surprised to find myself 4th by halfway, and I didn't think my chances were good w/ Jimmy a solid 6+ seconds out and not exactly running slow. A lap at a time I slowly whittled away and set up for a hell of a final few laps. I just tried to stay close, fill his mirrors and hope for a slip up (no sense rushing a pass, Angelo & Jeff were well out of reach). Jimmy kept his slip ups very minor...not enough to take a shot. Then heading down to take the white flap he ran a bit wide through the final right hand complex, allowing me to take a run up the inside heading down the front straight. I probably slowed up too much for T1, but being how fast the corner is coupled with the curbs I didn't want to wreck w/ Jimmy...this allowed Jimmy to hang onto third...just barely. But now the pressure was on... Forcing Jimmy to take defensive lines into the 2 hairpins, I tried to setup over/under passes on exit. Both times I could get alongside, but didn't have the drive off the corner to seal it. I was finally able to get Jimmy hung out wide where he couldn't fight back with just a few corners remaining in the race. Good times. That last lap was intense!
