Just posting this here for those who participate in races and want to talk about their experiences.
I just ran at Pocono and wrecked out. My own fault. I will be sticking with it. It's good fun.
Shout out to Troy. I was car 16, qualified 12th and was running seventh in the lead pack when I wrecked out. I felt good up until the incident. Thanks for the advice.

Keep working at it. Experience really helps. Go into a practice session and keep practicing until you can run a full tank of fuel without hitting the wall. The car has really changed over the years. The setups now have a lot less downforce and the tires really wear out after about a half a tank of fuel. Most weeks this will cause the car to get loose coming out of corners. This week it really shows in turn 1.
I have had 2 great races so far, started on pole, led most laps and won both races. In my first race, it went green for the last 29 laps. The car can only go 30 laps on a full tank. I had to really back off going into turn 1 near the end and almost lost it a couple of times. Takes a lot of nerve to really push the car like that.
In my second race I was running second at the end of the race and was content to finish there. But the leader gave me a gift on the final lap when he hit the wall coming out of turn 1 and spun into the infield. Don't ever give up, just keep the pressure on and you never know what will happen.
I have a replay of a 42.334 qual lap. I will make a video with it and post it here so you can see how to start up front.

I'll be on tonight for the 12:15 Pocono race. I will be there. I'm running the FR 2.0 race at 10:45. After that we can get in a practice session so I can show you how to qualify.

That was very cool. All three GBR drivers in the top ten! I'm going to start using that GBR skin on the DW12.

Haven't watched the video yet but I will.
I ran the DW12 at Pocono today. The 10:15 session. Car number 21, qualified 12th, finished 8th. I could have caught 6 and 7 as I was much faster but we ended under a caution so I was denied the opportunity to catch them. Good fun.

There were some good drivers in that race. Be careful, or you could really start to like this series. I will be racing tonight at 12:15 and also a bunch of races tomorrow. Sunday I will be gone all day to see my daughters, but I might sneak in a race late Sunday night when I get back.

This week, the track is Twin Ring Motegi oval. I've been doing ok so far, 2 wins and a 2nd place. Here is a replay of my qual lap. It was in the actual qual session of my last race, my PB so far. Shift to 3rd before you even start moving the car so you don't spin the tires. Note the speed and line entering T3 on the out lap, it is very important to get a good qual lap. Lift in T1/T2. Brake hard into T3 and downshift to 4th. Hold 4th gear until you cross the start/finish line. www.dropbox.com/s/y411h9zqxdxjgxr/16S2%20DW12%20Motegi%20Q%2029.407.rpy?dl=0

30.207 is my best.
I could definitely do better with some more practice.

This week the fixed series is at Indianapolis so everyone should be ready. The unique thing about this week is that you can't practice qualifying in the official practice sessions. This is because they use Indy Qualifying boost in qualifying, but you can't select it in practice. So you must use a private testing session to practice qualifying. Just open a test session with the DW-12 and Indianapolis track with the IndyCar Oval Config. Once you are in the session, go to the garage, open up the iRacing setups tab on the right and select the Indy Oval setup. Change only 3 things on that setup. 1. On the Chassis Tab, change the Pinion to 6 2. On the Chassis Tab, change the Offset to -6 3. On the Drivetrain Tab, change the Boost to Indy Qualifying. Now you can practice qualifying runs. Your first lap will be your fastest lap, so if you mess it up, stop before crossing the start/finish line and you will have one more chance to get it right. Here is an example replay of how to qualify. Push the throttle to the floor leaving the pits and leave it there the entire run. www.dropbox.com/s/88ltsxcbzhttaud/16S2%20DW12%20Indy%20Q%2040.096.rpy?dl=0Good luck and most of all, have fun.
