Anyone else try the free beta ? Being a fan of the older Forza titles and the fact its free i decided to give it a try. First off no wheel support and the highest resolution is 2550x1440p Asides from that using a xbox1 controller it gave some nice rumbles under braking and curbs but really no feel of what the cars are doing, graphics look good but not great hopefully they will increase the resolution before release as i am pretty sure they said it would be 4k ready? also hope wheel support comes before the official release. Racing in the rain......puddles causing hydroplaning are absolutely terrible lol you hit any little sized puddle and your car starts sliding all around. Best i can describe it is its still the same old forza but in 2550x1440p i dont own FM5 but ive tried the demos set up in bestbuy and i am pretty sure the opening race in FM6 is the same as FM5 around some road course in Rio. If it stays free ill play it with friends when i am drunk and bored  |

It's OK. It's Forza so no surprises. When I installed it, the graphics were kind of poor but then I discovered it was auto-set to Medium and a low resolution. Once I maxed everything out it was beautiful, locked in to 60 fps and only using 50-80% of my GPU. If that is what DX12 can do then it's pretty cool.
I'm done with the Forza franchise but if this gets wheel/pedal support and stays free then sure, I'll drive it now and then. Not in Career mode much but more just to jump in an interesting car and run some laps.

Didn't even know this was a thing for PC.
I have FM6 for X-box1, don't really play it much, but had to have it so I had all of them.
And FYI,FM6 is a full game that's been out for a while, so this FM6 Apex must just be a PC port or something.

so this FM6 Apex must just be a PC port or something. That's exactly what it is. MS is essentially testing their cross platform (Win 10 and XB1) gaming system with this release. |

I like it. The graphics are buttery smooth and there is better AA. I also appreciate that the career is different than Forza 6 on Xbox. That being said, there is no compelling reason for me to play this over Forza 6 on my Xbox, which allows me to use my CSW V2 base, Forza rim, MPPC Simpedals, THR8S H shifter and dual Buttkicker Gamer 2s for tactile feedback. When Apex gets wheel and triple screen support, then I will play it more.

I just got Windows 10 so I decided to download this. I'm not even going to try it since it doesn't have wheel support. I don't do racing games without a wheel.
Forza Horizon 3 was just announced that it will be a full version for Windows 10. If it has wheel support, I will be getting that.

I am fairly confident that Horizon 3 for PC will have wheel support at launch. My guess is that Apex will get wheel support by next month, and that will serve as the template for wheel support for Apex. |

Day 1 wheel support for Forza Horizon 3 on the PC has been confirmed. The problem is that they may only allow us to use Xbox One compatible wheels. Also, we don't know whether the game will support multiple controllers. Darin Gangi from ISRTV works for Simxperience now and he confirmed on the Simxperience forums that they sent an Accuforce to Turn 10. Well I will definitely NOT be pre-ordering Forza Horizon 3. I will wait until it releases and find out first if it can work with my wheel and pedals. When I find out it works, then I will get it.

All my wheels are gone, literally, and I hope to take delivery of the Accuforce within the next week or two. They supposedly are going to fill and ship all open orders by the end of this week and so my hope is that means I get my wheel by the end of next week. I also sold all of my consoles, I am strictly a PC gamer now. That is partially why I decided to go with the Accuforce. Its PC only. Part of the allure of the CSW was console functionality. |
