Soooo, iRacing broke the My Teams tab...surprise, surprise, surprise. I'll send invites out whenever they get around to fixing the issue to I can actually see, get into, and manage the teams.  |

Thanks to Chris I was able to address my issues with shifting in the Z4. I drive the car and it felt really good. Looking forward to learning how the teams will be made up.

I am interested. Any thought of entering different classes? That would depend if there was anyone that was mental enough to want to drive the DP. I would be game...though I would need to lease it (not a huge deal...I leased the DW12 a car which I detest for the Pac Majors). I did enjoy the Riley for the little time that I had run it. Out laps are pretty sketch as you have to wait to get some heat in them...but after spending seat time in the V8s & Kia, it really isn't that big of a deal for me. I had seen the car selection so I was thinking more along the lines of a GT3 entry and a Ruf entry. If we can get at least one more guy I would run the Ruf with Snappy. I am still not keen on buying the Merc or Audi but will if we go in that direction. |

Yeah, I hadn't seen that they had released the official list when I typed that. At that time all the sheet said was DP/GT3. I saw a few minutes later that they had updated the list.

So one thing I just thought of...since it seems like the team paint didn't load until the team "owner" got in the car, we will likely have to have 1 person in each car "own" a GBR team. We'll have to get that sorted as soon as we get driver pairings figured out.
We are only 1 driver short of having 4 cars (2 drivers per car). And right now looking like we may be able to run a pair of DP & a pair of GT3.

Right now I'm thinking possibly a pair of DPs and a pair of BMWs. If you don't have the BMW, I'd be willing to run the RUF w/ you if there are no other takers. |

Okay, after reading through the threads I have a better understanding of the conversation. I have the RUF and the BMW. I will run either one. The important thing is balancing the teams so we have a chance at being in the same session. Right? Based on that tactic I will run whatever is needed. I just don't own the DP or the two newer GT3 cars. Hope this helps.

Yes it do have the BMW. I just assumed, without good reason, you all wouldn't go for it. I would run either. It's not that I don't want the new cars. I just won't use them much.

Still waiting to hear what Bill & Sheldon want to drive. GT3 I think we stand a chance of being in a GT3 only race, as I suspect that will be the largest class. And since we typically are in one of the lower splits, the chances of the DPs & C-specs being exhausted is pretty good. Running the RUF & DP would assure we would be in a multi-class split.

These are excellent points. That is why I am open to either the RUF or the Z4. I would suspect that the typical DP driver has a decent (rather high) iRating. We end up in a session with GT3s and C Specs. I wouldn't mind the DP but I don't own it so I have 0 experience in it. I never even owned the Riley either. They seem like lots of fun though.
On a separate note: I did a custom livery for the Z4. It's essentially a modified version of one of the base patterns. How do I post a pic of it? Do I need to use a photo hosting site like Photo Bucket?
