We´re going to have grid reversion? Hard and selective those cars at this track, really fun. 5 laps and Im loving it.
I hope people show up to take the challenge! And make no mistake...its a real challenge.
I recommend everyone using the upgrade SemiAutomatic gearbox on. Those cars are difficult enough to not have it.

I am not sure about the reversing the grid. As of right now I was not planning on reversing the grid for race 2. Maybe start race two how race 1 finishes.

Can you explain what the difference is between having the Semiautomatic gearbox on and off is?

Semi-auto is like a modern GTE or GT3 car. No clutch or rev matching required either up or down...the car's engine/trans computers and hydro/pneumatic systems take care of it all.
With semi-auto off it's like driving a V8SC. You can flat shift up the gears, but will require clutch and/or rev matching on the downshift to get the most out of braking.

I think for this particular car even for shift up you need to blip. And believe me...even with SemiAutomatic On...this one is harder than a V8SC. At least for me. Not on raw power...but the way you have to take the corners and use the aerodinamics. Is not that simple downshift like a modern car, because even with the Semi on...carefull still needed. You cant abuse much.

I love this car. Challenging, fast and powerful. I admit that Im not confortable driving it, but this first event was a brutal one! Congrats Jeff for the wins and Boza for the strong performance. But the Rothmans car belongs to Scott, so pick another one!! Beautiful grid with some nice colours. Awesome fun, dudes! Some pictures:

Thanks for the pictures Angelo. My races could have gone better but for the most important thing is that everybody (except Scott and his connection issues ) had a good time. It sounds like the guys that could keep the car on track and from spinning all had some very tight races. I was happy with 11 drivers and maybe we can get a few more. Congrats to Jeff and the other drivers that made it on the podium. Thanks for coming out and looking forward to a fun series. I should have the new track up tonight.

I had a blast racing in the mid-pack last night. Great battles throughout w/ Rich, Dave, Dale, and Dan. For a few laps we had a pack of 5 cars that were swarming around like a mob of angry bees. I was actually running no assists last night for max thrills. Careful application of throttle to get out of the corners, watch the bumps in the braking zones to prevent wheel lock up, and heel-toe downshifting to get down through the gears. Last night was more work than running the Formula Renault 2.0 around Bathurst for 13 laps. Very rewarding though.

By looking at the sim results I had TC and ABS on, no wonder the car felt sluggish on take off and spungy while braking.

It was a rough night for me. Didn't get much practice, and my connection problems really hurt. I don't understand why I was having that problem. My connection is usually rock solid. I'll have to investigate.
I did have fun though. Racing is always fun.

Bonus to rF2 letting you back in during the race after a disconnect. At least you can still turn some laps, maybe benefit from other's mistakes instead of having to sit outside the server waiting for the session to end to be able to get back in.
