Yeah, I was surprised that I was able to rejoin while the race was still running. But I thought that was a server setting, not a RF2 thing.

Scott... it's an rF2 thing. The state of the car is preserved via the replay file and reloaded. You can even race offline against AI, exit and resume your race at a later date. I came in very cold and hadn't driven these cars in over a year since their initial release. As I was practicing it was a struggle to get under three seconds from the front runners on a sub 60 second lap. Just as I was thinking of throwing my simrig out to the curb with a "Free" sign on it I noticed that these cars have a soft tire and I was on the hard. Lots of mistakes in Race 1 but Race 2 was better. I got a nice elbows-out pass on Zed at T1 and from there tried to catch Boza but made a few small errors.

I got a nice elbows-out pass on Zed at T1 That was nice. I knew you got next to me so I wanted to give you room. I was struggling with the last turn and losing time there so I didn't want to force anything. I had a lot of fun. I also ran without any assists and used my H-shifter. I had a few bad miss-shifts and I am really surprised I didn't blow the engine. The races were intense. I was getting mentally tired mid way through the races. Looking forward to more.
