Gonna be a few people in the gravel I predict! This car doesn't like the tight stuff. I am not sure I can make it but I like the tight stuff

I couldn't get any heat into the tires... no grip, bad races.

Tough event! First of all, I want to say Im sorry to Jeff about our incident in Race 1. I meant no harm on that one, mate. I felt a lot better at this track than at the previous one, and enjoyed 2 wins. The first one, I had a huge fight with Jeff. In the first laps I wasnt feeling confident to push, and was making some mistakes, which gave Jeff the chance to overtake me. It was a tight move, difficult to judge, but fine by me. Was my time to push him, and I did my best to overtake him back, which isnt easy at all at this track. Eventually we had a collision, when he left the door open on the inside and I took it...but then he decided to get that line and I was already commited to it. Its not nice when this happens, but most of the time I race against Jeff things go pretty clean, and we´re always racing close and hard, so I suppose eventually we will collide. Anyway, hard fought one for me, and he still got 2nd right behind. On Race 2 things went a little better for me, but no less difficult. This time Rich put a lot of pressure on me all race long, and the only reason I stayed ahead was because I had a better compromise on the setup for straight line speed, which gave me the edge. Nevertheless a tremendous fight having to keep full focus all race long with him on my rear bumper all the time! Thanks Jimmy and GBR for this race.

The racing here tonight was a lot of fun. Had some good battles with Jimmy both races, did way better then I had thought I would, even with the car being a handful, it was an awesome race.

Results and Standings updated - gbr.proboards.com/thread/4264/celica-gto-results-standingsDuring practice Dan was kind enough to share a tune with Joe. Joe mentioned that it felt better under braking so I decided to give it a go. It did feel better than the tune I was working with and even got me into the 1:08's. Race 1 went pretty well for me until I spun at turn 1 and dropped me from 3rd to 6th. I was able to climb back up to 3rd but Dan gave me a hard fought battle and but on the second to last lap Dan was able to get around me in sector 3 and I couldn't catch back to him. Race 2 was about the same and I had Dan hot on my tail from the start. I goofed again at turn 1 and Dan was by me. Luckily I didn't take any damage and I was able to get right back on track and bring the fight to Dan. He must have tweaked his tune a bit because on the front straight he had much more speed. He would tease me with a slight bobble here and there but it was never enough for me to get close enough for a pass. The one time I did attempt a pass on the front straight Dan played it smart and guessed correctly that I would take turn 1 wide. This car and track combo would be so much fun with a grid of 15+. I know we could have possibly had 13 if Robb, Boza, Chris, David, and K Juliet were able to make it but I understand that real life gets in the way. I am really looking forward to Pukekohe as the t rack is a similar layout to Sandown.

That tune was Joe's Jimmy, I just tweaked the diff to make breaking easier for him, but in all honesty I ran my tune from Winton for the actual races.

Great racing all.
Race 1 I screwed up T-1 and couldn't get my mojo back!
Race 2 I pressured Angelo the whole race but couldn't pass.
Fun stuff.
