I wish that I could make this race, but I have family visiting from Texas through the 25th and won't have much time to practice. I'll be there for the finale at Silverstone. Have fun.

I'm hopping on for about 10-15 minutes to make sure my new shifter functions as expected.

I'll be there. Got new gadgets to fiddle with. Should be plenty of botched shifts from me...so I'll probably be easy pickings tonight. Hope I don't toast a motor.....

I was planning on making this one but will have to miss it. Playing with a different Toyota tonight. I'm starting the tear down to replace the timing chain and gears on my son's 2004 Toyota Matrix, FUN!

Not my night, sorry fellows. Had to leave straight away.
Felt really bad with the mistake on Race 1, had an accident with Rich on Race 2 after the start...drove insanely well to recover a deficit of almost 20 seconds, only to screw the podium spot on the last lap distracted with Boza and Jeff on track and on TS... Looks like my brain cant handle drive and pay attention to conversations at the same time.
Better go to bed and some relaxation music.

Really great stuff last night. My first race could have gone better. I thought I had a decent start but by the time we had gotten through turn 4 and onto the back straight I had dropped 2 spots. As I was trying to catch Dan a few laps later I spun at turn 2 and 3. I was able to get back on track and ended up picking up 1 spot by the end.
Race 2 was a different story. I had a better start but going into turn 2 and 3 Rich and Angelo came together and both went off. Good news for me but Dale was soon by me and I was only up 1 spot instead of 2. I knew Rich and Angelo would be pushing hard to catch up and with 19 minutes to go they had plenty of time to do just that. By lap 5 I could see Rich closing the gap on me. This time it was Dale's turn to have an off at turn 2 and 3. This put in in 3rd for a very short time. By the end of this lap Rich was right on my bumper and I knew I couldn't hold him off for very long and I was right. At the end of lap 6/start of lap 7 Rich thought about going around me on the inside of turn 1 but decided against it and wait. after we got through turns 2-4 and on the back straight Rich passed me like I was standing still. I am sure the draft and him probably running a lower rear wing helped dramatically. As Rich began to pull away I just tried to be consistent. Well as luck would have it Rich had an off at turns 2 and 3 and I was back in 3rd. Then a few laps later Boza and Jeff made contact at turns 2 and 3 and I thought for a second I would get around them both and be in 1st. It turns out Boza was not affected as much as Jeff and Jeff was the only one that had an off. Jeff was able to get cleanly back on the track right next to me but I believe he was running a lower wing than me because he immediately began to pull away from me on the back straight. Rich was soon filling my mirrors again as the race was getting closer to the end but he had another off. Of course this now meant that the madman from Brasil was filling my mirrors. I held Angelo off for 1 lap but he was able to pass me on the back straight. Luckily for me Angelo made a very uncharacteristic bobble at turn 6 which allowed me to get by him and end up on the podium for the first time in this series. Race 2 was very exciting for me and my heart was pounding by the end of it. Having to try and hold off some of the fastest GBR Aliens was intense. I knew they would get around me but I wasn't going to just pull over and let them by.
Thanks for coming out again. See everybody at Silverstone soon!
