Announcement about cars!
When you connect to the server choose your car, then go to Tuning. Expand Series and choose National. This will allow you to use slick tires instead of treaded tires. This allows for better grip and handling.
If you do not choose the National series you will not be able to use the better slick tires.

Plenty of numbers to choose from so post you number here. I choose #69 because I am still in middle school!

Man, how do you keep these cars from spinning out. So loose in the rear!
I'll drive the #42.

Man, how do you keep these cars from spinning out. So loose in the rear! I'll drive the #42. I know what you mean Scott. What I found was you have to brake in a straight line and be extremely smooth in the corners. Any sudden jerking of the wheel will cause you to start to lose the backend. With these cars it looks like being consistent and smooth in the corners is the key. I am sure I will have a few hundred practice laps before the next race.

I'll take car 59 as it's closest to my age. National and slicks make a huge difference. I also like the visor option. Not for everyone I'm sure but helps with immersion. IMHO

I agree with you Jim. The visor option looks really cool and does improve the immersion.

Anyone want to go to school? This Skip Barber video uses this car on this track. About 40:00 is when the track stuff starts.

In case anybody wants to practice overtaking in these cars, I'm going to try to get a few more laps in tonight around 7pm Pacific time.
