Not sure what the format is going to be for the race so please be patient. Be sure to pick a car and post here which car you have chosen.
I am going with #77

I ran a few laps last night with the default tune. It's not bad. It will hit the rev toward the end of the straights but by then the speed is like 240mph! You can go wide open through the corners for the first few laps but after that you'll have to start milking the throttle. The right front goes away pretty quick. These cars could be tuned to run some crazy speeds, but to me, 240 is pretty freaking fast! Also, setting a fixed setup should keep the pack closer together.
I liked Dale's idea of running a couple short races and then one longer race. Should be interesting!
Also FYI, in the tuning screen, I choose the Indy 500 package.

I'll take #83. But will admit I am not a fan of fixed setups. I have no idea on how to set up an oval car. The car is crazy fast

Thanks Jim. Yeah, I'll drive #83.
These cars are gonna be fun and fast. I love Indy. So simple, yet so hard.

rF2's Stock Car Rules have some issues. It's not worth messing up someone's race when we're running a one-off event, IMO.

If it has issues, I agree.

Well, lots of leagues use it without many issues. I had like 4 or 5 races with it, and it went well. A yellow can put you back on the contention in case of a minor accident. If you slight touch the wall, is like bye bye. Cars is bent, you can do nothing about it. Is much easier loose competition without the rules.
Anyway, just a sugestion.
#28 for me.

I think for this race most of the guys here don't do open wheel cars very often so we are just making it easier for everybody.

Me and Jimmy ran a few laps together. Was very useful. Turbulence is a huge factor for this one. Something we were not used to it in rF1. Run behind another car is completely different from run alone. Tricky. And it most be even more difficult with more cars on track. Even with the slipstream effect, lap times sometimes gets worse.
