Microsoft Windows 10 KB3213986 Breaks Multi-Monitor Setups & Cripples Gaming
I've been fighting with Windows Update since yesterday afternoon on my Windows 10 work system with triple-monitors running on an AMD FirePro GPU. After finally getting the latest update to finish and being able to log in again, I'm seeing that the installation of KB3213986 had failed. Thankfully, it did because apparently it can break multi-monitor setups. We all might want to think about hold off on this one.

Once the update is installed on PCs with multi-monitor setups, the systems start experiencing screen clipping and stuttering when full-screen multi-display games or 3D software are run. Microsoft has already listed a workaround for the issue but it is not really beneficial advice. The company suggests running the affected applications in non-fullscreen modes, such as the windowed modes, which completely defeat the purpose of multi-monitor setups. Microsoft even suggests disconnecting the additional monitors and using the applications on a single monitor.
