I dont have iRacing either Jimmy, and I wont have also any time soon.
Was just an idea, because everytime someone signs here as a new member, its because of iRacing.
But at least me, I will be racing AMS for a long long time yet. Also rF2, and Assetto Corsa.

Not going to make it tonight gents, I have grand kids tonight and one is still to young for me to leave alone while we race, and the other two are not old enough to watch him yet. And the wife is with their momma as she is making me a brand new one very soon (Like tonight we hope). It's a Boy. Now I have two of each. |

In regards to iRacing, I don't see it being the staple here in the near future. Yes we have interest w/ the endurance races, but when we've tried to organize weekly official stuff it's only ever been 3-4 at most...so I don't see iRacing being a viable option right now (plus it is expensive, and we aren't ready to "force" that kind of expense on everyone at this time). We are better off sticking w/ rF2 & AMS for our races for now. If we get enough people running it together on the side we may revisit having an alternating series w/ a rF2/AMS series.

Well that was a bummer of a turnout. I still really liked this track and was really get the hang of it. I spent most of the time in both races alone but had a short go at second place when Dale spun exiting the chicane in race 1. It might be time to start doing some recruiting to look at filling up the grid. I know real life comes first and with lots of guys around here having kids, grandkids and moving on to other interests we are having a tough time filling the grid. iRacing probably won't be anything I will sign up for anytime soon. I am too cheap to pay for something like that. I just can't get into AMS, and I don't know why. It's just one of those things I guess. I tried iRacing, blew $600 on it, finally just got rid of it. Didn't like it, didn't like all the money you have to spend. I'll never try it again. Once the next series is announced, if it isn't AMS, I'll most likely be back. I'm racing over at CMS in the MNRL series. Might do a few NARS races too. |
