I down loaded the mod and track last night and see what you were talking about the trees. But to me the overly bright white glowing track side objects was way more distracting. Anyone else seeing those? Yea, its a dx11 thing. If you go back to dx9 for this race you won't see it. I hope they make the dx11 version the only version soon so it basically forces the modders to update their stuff

So I’m happy to say that both Hunter and I will participating Wednesday! We have been running a ton of laps on the server and can’t wait to see you guys on the track. He is running 1:10s and I am running 1:11s pretty consistently. Are we way off the pace?

Figured it out. I had the live racers link saved that linked to V8 Super Cars. Now I have the home page on the site saved.

In the second chicane, the one after the long back stretch, where are y’all braking. I’m finding that by far the hardest place to get consistent in.

At the launcher, click the gear icon (at left) then Video Settings (at top). You'll see a dropdown for Post Effects. Try turning them off. Post Effects are a newish addition to the DX11 version to spice up the visuals a bit.

Well that was sort of fun. Not a big fan of the track but it was interesting and kept you busy. My bigger issue last night was my graphics in race, not smooth at all. Frame rate was ok but was like a slow strobe effect of freezing then I'd be suddenly further along, made it tough to race close and where my braking points were. Wonder if I should just go back to DX9 for racing and see if that helps. My other issue was I didn't have my race set in for the first race plus had not practiced with heavier fuel load. I like the cars and driving around the next track Mosport was fun last night. Graphics were fine too with 3 of us in there but was the same at this one till race time.

Definitely try the DX9 build to see if there's a difference. In either build I'd also turn down reflections and shadows. What you're describing is the game falling out of real-time then catching up so the trick now is to find what is using all your resources. I'd update video drivers if you haven't done that in a while also check that the case, CPU and GPU fans are spinning. rF2 uses your graphics card a lot more than rF1 (it's 100% vs 30-40% for me) so it's going to get hotter.
