So while chatting w/ Hooper @ VIR a couple weekends ago, we got to talking about possibly running some GBR iRacing sessions. A couple ideas I had floating around would be sessions related to upcoming events, endurance races in particular, so guys could get more seat time in the cars...as aside from the couple of us that run Autobahn I'm not really aware of anyone else that runs iRacing (particularly the road side) on a regular basis. This idea was mostly in the hopes of getting more guys comfortable in the cars and maybe getting a couple extra bodies for the endurance race pool (in addition to the WSRL & Wicked Chassis guys we are in contact with). This could also be amended to other upcoming events that some of us are signed up for, but others would like to run the car/track combos (Autobahn, Majors).
Some of the other things we have done in the past was just run official races, picking a specific night & time a week to all get together. I have done this w/ Dale on Thursdays in the V8SCs, and with Dave & Boza earlier in the week in the Formula Renault & Porsche Cup car. Hell, even just getting together to raid the same official practice session can be a gas.
It's not something that will necessarily be a weekly thing, maybe even just on opposing weeks from Jimmy's series'.
Anywho, feel free to pitch some thoughts & ideas out.
***Final 2018 endurance race is Petit Lemans, October 6-7.

I'm up for this. I've barely used my iRacing subscription and would like to get more out of it. I'm not anywhere near where I'd like to be to start thinking about joining a team for endurance racing, but I could use an excuse to get out there and work on it.

Skip Barber series is an option, especially later in the evening when the chances of a single split are good.

Not sure. It depends if I get any time to practice tonight. Alternatively for Wednesday, I could put up a Road America practice session just for us and other GBRers that want to jump in, run some laps and shoot the shit would be welcome.
