Truckers MP for ETS2 & ATS

Have any of you guys ever used the TruckersMP mod to run Multiplayer on ATS or ETS2?

I just found out about it myself by watching a guy do driving vids with new truck mods, he said it's the best multi out there for these games and said they were working on a private server setup so people could run their own servers. He said the only thing they were waiting on to release the private server files was the implementation of AI traffic.
Now I could not find any info on the private server files, but this guy is usually spot on about the mods and stuff, so be on the lookout for it, maybe we can supplement our racing with some weekend convoys...

I haven't tried it. The videos I've seen of the public servers scared me off. Private is interesting...

I just got ATS over the holidays when they had the big sale. I really like it and even built a shifter knob to use the 18 speed shifter like a real trucker. I have thought about the MP, but I'm really having fun playing solo. I'm working on exploring the map and getting all the achievements.

Another thing to check out is World of Trucks. The website is World of Trucks
It connects to your steam account and gives you external contracts. It keeps track of all your deliveries and has additional achievements. A good addition to the game.

I haven't tried any mods yet. I'm having enough fun with the base game. I have all the current maps, the Heavy Cargo Pack, Forest Machinery, and Special Transport DLCs.

If anyone is interested in a very relaxing driving game, Steam is having another big sale until January 27. I picked up Euro Trucks this time around for when I get tired of American Trucks.

Haven't used any mods myself. There is so much to explore/do just with the base content. Nice wind down after a stressful race.

I've stopped using mods because every time the game gets the smallest of updates it breaks the mods and some modders just don't keep up with it. Those that do expect you to pay for it.

There are a few modders on steam workshop that do a good job of keeping everything updated, but after an update it may be a weak before they get to it, and that's a week of no play so I've reverted to the base content. Hell it's getting very good with out the mods.

My biggest pet peeves with ATS is the lack of Truck manufacturers and the time it takes to crank out States. At the rate their going I'll be long dead before the US gets finished and they have the minimum of 5 manufacturer in game as promised.

Still love to kick back and haul a few once or twice a week though, just wish there was more territory like in ETS 2.
