If anyone is interested in getting into multi-class racing w/ a league, but are not comfortable enough w/ different classes to jump into the deep end w/ Autobahn, SSCR (Simulated Sportscar Racing) may be a nice alternative.
I ran with them this past Sunday for their season finale. Much lower car counts with a bit wider spectrum of driver ability/speed. They seem to be a pretty laid back group from what I experienced anyways. Potentially team racing, though not specifically required (1 or 2 drivers). Sunday's race was 2:15...but I don't know for certain if that was a standard race distance, or if it was special for the finale.
I'll post next season's info when released if there is any interest.
Races are not typically broadcast, but they were doing a special fundraiser for the finale. You can get a sampling of the race here.

Season 3 info has been released. Great starter league for multi-class racing. Events run every 2-3 weeks w/ a mix of standard length races (1.5 hours) along with a couple endurance races (2.5) where team driving of 2 drivers is encouraged, though not required. I'll be trying to run most events if I can to get additional seat time in the GT3 Audi for Autobahn. members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3657908.page

Would love to jump into this, but I still have no licenses and haven't bought any cars or tracks yet. Still not sure how to really get started, guess I'm to used to racing with people I know, and a bit timid about starting with others.

Being this is a league, the typical iRacing license requirements don't apply.
You would be looking at leasing 1 car (AMG or Audi...Dave & I will be running the Audi) and probably most of the tracks, at least the events you wanted to run. They only run 1 or 2 races a month, so you wouldn't necessarily have to lease all the tracks up front. Most of the tracks are common tracks in the official rotations (and a couple of our official endurance races that we run) so you would likely get a fair bit of use out of them. If you lease (IIRC) 3 items at a time you get a discount on your purchases. So the way to do it would be to pick things up in small blocks (if you choose to jump in).
