Guys, I am out for this race. After I reinstalled my OS, I still was getting bsods and error codes with my GPUs. Pretty sure I have a bum graphics card. Off to Fry's, which is 1 1/2 hours way from my house. grrr.....
Should I get a 670 or a 680???

Sorry to hear that Craig. Looks like Knight's out too The 670 is basically a 680 with a very minor neutering. I'd get which ever hits your price sweet spot. The 680 is the single GPU king for sure... the 670 isn't far behind. www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-670-review,3200.html

Looks like I won't be going there. They don't have any 670s or 680s in stock. I will have to order one online. I have isolated the problem to one of my 560tis. This is a convenient excuse to get a new GPU. I also want to avoid SLI. Custom PC warns against it like the plague.

Really Enjoyed that lad's and the main thing I didn't spoil anyone else's race. It was a real education and I have learnt an enormous amount and hopefully can apply this to future races. I hope

Cost me $511, with rush processing and overnight shipping.

Nice. Exact same card as me right down to the brand. I like EVGA, never really had a hardware problem and apparently their warranty process is great if one needs it. Just don't install Precision X off the CD!!!

Congratulations F1Fan. I finished my 35 mile training ride and was eating, then I looked at the clock and thought hey, they should be close to finishing the race. So I pulled up Live Racers and watched the last 30 minutes. F1 you are a mean dude. Couldn't even let Boza have the dignity of finishing on the lead lap. Passing him with just over a lap to go is cold. But I guess the competitor comes out in all of us.

Thanks for coming out guys. A small field due to people being busy (not surprising for summer time) and technical/pet issues. By the sounds of it there was still some close racing in the early parts of the race... I'll have to view the replay to see what was happening between Boza and Smokey!
