Had a great race. Got 1st among the Caddys in my group. The second place guy was faster than me, but he got taken out and had to pit and do 5 minutes.
That was awesome. Really enjoyed it. Used the old reliable CSR and Clubsports, having driver issues with the T500 and its a new wheel, did not want to risk problems due to lack of familiarity.

Wow, congrats Craig!! I hope you get a good prize!
So I got the 12th of 17 splits which had a mix of unprepared people, slowish guys like me, and guys who deliberately under qualified so they could win a freaking hat or something ('cause that's all that will be left by the time they pick). Yeah... when your average race lap is 10 seconds faster than your quali lap, you're a dick.
One Caddy who couldn't use his mirrors cost me 10 laps in the pits. Based on the other DP times I finished about where I shoud have. However, there are 4 Caddys ahead of me that shouldn't be there. The positive thing is that once the idiots were gone after 45 minutes it was pretty decent racing. No collisions, no one got upset, just a lot of clean passing.
I'm glad I did it for the experience but it's the last endurance event I do over there.

Wow, that was a workout Managed to finish 6th after starting 15th, course there was only 24 cars left at the end I think Got nailed almost halfway thru by a Riley at the end of the long straight lifted the car in the air but didnt flip luckily I always stayed wide to the left there but this guy just seemed to be coming like a bat out of nowhere (hell?) when I entered my braking zone. Cost me a tow and 6 min in the pits I think, if not for that I probably could have moved up a place or two Great job Tony and Craig ! I could see Tony and Paul in the split results but not Dale or Craig ?

My split, Sheldon: members.iracing.com/membersite/member/EventResult.do?&subsessionid=5947886&custid=48282Oh and we had two guys that wouldn't shut the hell up about tracks they like and about 3 other topics. Lucky I had a button mapped to mute individuals but I still had to hear others reacting to the chatter. I did learn a lot today. The first thing is to take the optional repairs. I skipped them and had an undrivable car so lost 2:30 getting a 2nd tow from Turn 2. Oh well: after this I'll be calm enough to look at the replay of my wreck

lol, I tried driving after my big wreck, but couldnt really keep it on (or off ;D ) the track so I realized I better take a tow before I caused a wreck. but then I also thought I could skip the optional 4 1/2 min repairs... fortunately I was able to nurse it back to the pits and finish the repairs so yes, in these long races it does look like you may as well sit there and let them fix your car

Great job guys...Well my confidence took a real hit last night, maybe not the best first outing for me, no way were most the guys around me rookies, and those that were...no race craft at all. Ah well, I shall put it down to experience and look forward to the next club race.

I remember when iRacing was hailed as the gentleman's racing sim where everybody raced cleanly because you had to pay so much for it. Sounds like it has gone mainstream and starting to get a bunch of timmies just like any other racing games out there.
I still plan to join up later this year. When I do, I will be asking for help on the quickest way to get out of the "timmy" ranks and up to the levels where there is some serious clean racing.
The main thing I like about GBR is the group of guys we have racing together. No matter where you run in the pack, you can count on some good clean racing with nobody trying to deliberately take you out. Accidents still happen because we are all competitive, but I have never seen anyone deliberately take someone else out.

Hey guys, check this out. I noticed it today at ISR's site. I emailed Darin and Shaun to thank them, and I got a nice note from Darin. They are going to send me an ISR sticker for winning my split. Woohoo, my moment in the spotlight... www.mediafire.com/view/?mpofyb6opav95qm
