Just a reminder if you haven't done so yet....read the read me file. There are important settings from the Mod creator that are recommended to get the most out of the Mod.
The second bit is EXTREMELY helpful at Autumn Ring, as it actually helps stabilize the car getting out of the 2nd gear corner w/ the crest on exit, as it's a slow corner. Shaved .25 sec off my times just by being able to use the throttle a little more w/o upsetting the car.

Thanks for tip Helios! That makes a huge difference in the feel of the steering. Much more responsive. To test it out, I ran a few laps on Lime Rock (since we just ran this last week). I was able to get a 52.198 on my best lap, which is about .3 better than my previous best.
How many degrees do you guys have your wheels set?

the main issue i have with steering 'feel' is its so loose in the middle going straight (but i presume it has more to do with the massive camber these run) and the feeback isnt 'strong' really like on PS3 even though its set 100%

Use the real feel plugin to get more realistic steering.

ya i put that real feel plugin in the mod folder mate dont know if im meant to start it or something lol? To activate it go to the vehicle screen at the main menu, then select upgrades then buy Real Feel. You should then be good to go. Also set your steering to -100% force feedback. For some reason that is how you get max ff for the v8 mod.

Also set your game's FF level to low. Med and High will mix rFactor's canned effects (curbs, etc) into the FF.

ok so i set wheel to -100% & FF level to low & as soon as i enter the pits my wheel is shaking violently LOL give it a go and its bucking like a bronco going straight & braking lol so i ended up finding that setting to -60% was a good medium

That's kinda normal... worse on Logitech wheels. Hold the wheel firm in the pits and all should be fine when you get up to.

Yeah, IMO, it's some sort of feedback loop with high FF levels. You may be able to fiddle with the centering spring and damping to tame it. Raising the Real Feel filtering (CTRL + NumPad .) may help.
FWIW, almost the exact thing happens in iRacing with the MX-5 when you're sitting on the start line so it's not unique to rFactor.
