just a heads. up after doing some testing last night with the GT-1/GT-2 cars i reliezed how fast we are in some sections. and even side swipped acouple cars.
genral rule in Muilti- class racing. is the faster cars have to work there way around the slower cars. we shouldnt expect them to jump off there line to pass them.
i think its a good thought to remember there is 3 races going on at the same time. using flashing our headlight and giving a shout out. is the best bet.
rememeber the driver you are passing, may be so focused.... he might not even see you screaming up behind him.....

He he, not sure I'll be passing anyone...well out my comfort zone. As long as I stay out the kitty litter, keep off the walls and finish without getting dumped off the server, I will be happy.

I mapped a button on my wheel near my left thumb for the headlights, so I can easily flash them as necessary. I love multi-class racing and so I've had lots of practice passing slower traffic. The idiot AI of Forza makes for good practice I generally wont pass while approaching a corner, as it forces one of us to take the undesirable line into the corner, which can cause bad things to happen. I also try to see where the car I'm trying to pass is going to be, and try to picture my passing line.

Gentlemanly driving is the key. Eau Rouge needs special caution... closing speeds between the classes are huge there.

Interestingly based on the small number of laps recorded on LR, the LMP2 and GT1 are pretty close in top speed (4 km/h) with the GT2s only 10 km/h behind GT1. It's the high speed corners where the LMPs shine I think. The double lefts (Pouhon and Blanchimont) must be frighteningly fast in those cars.

yeah, I need to run some laps with the AI. increased speed from drafting likely to catch me out some corners... plus I need to get used to trying to get around other cars

Yeah, like paradox I have the lights mapped to the wheel. I recommend you all do that. A quick three flashes may be all you need to do especially if TS is blocked up with chatter.

Hmm I had put some laps in online...but not showing in LiveRacers. Better do some more. Have headlights mapped but I expect to be seeing them more than using them

Well just like the LeMans video posted in the other thread, track awareness is the responsibility of everyone involved. Whether using mirrors, GID, the stock "place" line, slower drivers should be able to anticipate and see a faster driver on approach. With some communication from both drivers involved, there should a very minimal number of issues.
Beyond that, everyone here is really good about overtakes so I can't see a big problem. Be aware and have fun!
Cheers!
