Hey guys. I wanted to post a thread to see if your collective wisdom can help me with a minor, but persistent issue with rFactor and the V8s. As you guys know, I run all of my racing games with a set of Clubsport pedals. I have the sensitivity turned almost all the way up via the little knob, meaning that the brakes kick in with minimal foot pressure. It works like a charm in Forza 4, GT5, iRacing, Richard Burns Rally and Race 07. But, when I run the V8 Supercars in rFactor, I have to hit the brake hard in order to get the car to slow down. I also have to put the gas pedal almost all the way down to get acceleration. I am confident this is not a hardware issue and so the likely culprit is the rFactor settings. Any thoughts on this? I know I asked you guys about this during our last race session, but I know its hard to troubleshoot stuff while we are racing.
Thanks!

Weird, I don't change mine at all. We can go through all the game setting adjustments to see if anything is off. How do the control inputs look on the setting "test" display? I do require a bit more pressure than FM4....but not overly so.

Are you having this issue would just the V8 MOD or are you having it with other mods as well? These are heavy cars and sometimes take longer to get up to speed or bring to a quick stop. When I'm trying to slow down I pump my brake as I downshift and that seems to help.
I can check my settings in game later this evening and let you know.

I only experience this issue with the V8 mod, although admittedly, I do not race many of the other rFactor cars or mods.

In the Fanatec driver, the pedals show as normal, no problems there.

Yeah, it's the Settings tab (in rF). Inside Settings, there in a tab for Mapping. If you click on the Mapping tab, it should bring up a display that shows the wheel & pedals on the left, along w/ a list of all the available mapping options on the right. The display of the wheels and pedals will move as you operate the controls...allowing you to see if the game is seeing full input from the controls.

I know what you mean Lawyer. I used to go between 5 and 10 on the sensitivity of my brakes for forza then to rfactor. I could just never get my car stopped as fast as I wanted in rfactor in the V8 mod. I kept dialling it up more thinking it would start locking up but no luck. What I have found is that I can stomp on the brake much like I think I would in a real car to really apply the brakes and so I've just done that. The harder the surface I have the brake pedal against the better I can brake. My week in the hotel was amazing as I was wedged in a small space both with the pedals in front and me against a wall so maximum leverage and boy I could stop well. Anyway to provide a long answer it's just the mod. When I practiced for efnet with the old cars I had to turn it way down and delicately brake to slow otherwise it was lock up city.
