I was trying to test this, but I am getting the JOIN TIMED OUT message when I try to join the server.

You got in though... no ? I saw your name on the server with a ping rating. That told me you were connected.

Really enjoyed practicing this on Saturday night. Stinky's tune made a real difference, and I am starting to understand how these cars work.

So how different are the flag rules for this than Spazcar? That is, will we see lots of yellows or is it every man for himself when there's an incident?

I belivee it to be similar except you race to the line in a yellow. Prepare for it to be very similar minus the drive through Found this from the mod page at rfactor central: Adjusted yellow-flag sensitivity. A spinning car should no longer bring out a caution unless it actually stops. This allows for someone who does a quick 360 not to bring out a yellow unnecessarily. Rule changes have been implemented, in line with how street stocks race out here in California. Mainly: Cars race to the yellow. For leagues, I recommend operating the same way the tracks do out here: a spun car is expected to stay put until the field has passed him and taken the yellow. If the leaders pass him and he goes a lap down, race officials add that lap back to the spun driver. This prevents drivers from creating a mess by trying to get back on track ahead of the leaders who are racing to the yellow. hope this helps

When there is a crash, I understand that I can continue to race hard. I do that in iRacing all of the time, and I don't get in trouble. When there is a yellow caution called, however, do I still race hard, or should I immediately slow down and hold position and avoid passing? I am sorry I am asking dumb questions, but although I have been sim racing, in some form, for around 30 years, I have not been interested in real life racing until very recently.

The way the rules read in the case of strett stock you race hard to the line. In spazcar you hold your position. I tested this last night and was put back to where I was when the flag fell. Vhr like NASCAR locks the field. Street stock doesntt. You race back to the line regardless when it falls on the track...
